Golf Club of Houston - Member Course

Got a good deal on Golfnow.com so I went out and played it again. Last time was just after the Houston Open. It was outstanding, but they went up significantly on the green fees.

This time the course looked like a bad muni. Thin grass amongst the large areas of dirt in the fairways. Fairway bunkers had weeds growing in them. Green side bunkers were caving in around the edges and had tractor tread marks going through them. Tee boxes were ragged. Greens were still good.

I was not told beforehand how bad it was. Wasn't worth the $55 deal price.

Playing this course after the PGA and the Floods have come thru was tough. Doug the caddy was great. Several balls did go missing in thin air... not a lot of variety in the turn house. driving range is great. its hot out there, no beverage cart when we were there.

Fairways were in poor shape with numerous bare spots. Several greens were patchy.

fairways are half dirt and bunkers are still very wet, not told ahead of time about conditions and that it was cart path only!!! lots of walking in the heat!!!
not happy, not worth the money, fore caddy was two weeks on the job and was not a golfer!!! no help

The golf course is beautiful. The greens were fast and smooth. The rough was difficult. The fairways were in poor condition. They were thin of grass. Maybe under repair. I really enjoy the layout of the Tournament Course.

The course was in great condition! Greens were very fast and true.. fairways very consistent Very good course. good value!

I have played this layout many times. Right now it is in extremely good shape. You should play it before it is brutally hot.

We were lucky to play. The course did not have our reservation. They did squeeze us in.

If this was 100 to 125 a round than it would be 5 stars all the way buck 60 plus tax cart and for-caddie tip . I've played better for less

If you play this course for >$119 definitely worth it! Golfnow made the total experience happen, and it was outstanding. Golf Club of Houston is the stallion amongst the mules in a public golf course setting.

Course was beautiful and very well-maintained. Caddie was helpful. Played round in 3 1/2 hrs! Greens rolled true, but we're a bit slow. Fairways were immaculate.

Brilliant green oasis, very wet as they are pouring water on it in advance of the tournament. Greens very smooth but slower
than they look, have to adjust to it. Pace of play was great. I think we were only the 2nd group out as of 9:30am. Price higher than most courses in area but well worth it. Our caddy "Mike" was great, request him if you can.

The first class golf course. Beautiful tree lines and no houses around the golf course.

The course is in great shape, the pace of play was fantastic, our fore caddie was terrific and overall I thought this course was amazing value for the money. Play it!

As advertised, I would say the course condition is the best in the Houston area. Got a great deal on GolfNow with an afternoon Hotdeal - with perfect 70+ degree weather. Pace was a little slow - for a twosome - still finished in 4:00 (finished in the dark...). I'll definitely be back.

This course was everything I was expecting. I played from tournament tees just for the experience. Cant wait to go again.

A great value for your money. the staff is always friendly. the range is the best I've ever hit on. and the course Is greener than the garden of Eden is the middle of winter. definently play here. food is great also

watch the wood to the right of the green on no 3 and pack an extra sleeve of ball just incase.

What a great course. The tee boxes,fairways and qreeens were in excellent shape, and this is January.
I have played the course several times,and enjoy it more and more each time.
The fore caddie was really good and personable. Can't wait to play again.
