About
Shorecliffs Golf Course wanders through the coastal canyons and valleys of San Clemente, heading towards the beautiful shoreline. Situated just steps from the ocean, the course enjoys cool ocean breezes and a temperate climate, which makes it a year-round haven for golfers. Its location also provides the golf course with plenty of scenic ocean views. The course features narrow fairways tightly lined with trees and small greens bordered by sand bunkers. The front nine is shorter and requires more accuracy than the longer, wider back nine. Shorecliffs opens with one of the trickiest par-5s in the area. This dogleg left hole features trouble both left and right. Although the layout does offer a fair challenge, players of all skill levels will feel comfortable taking on the golf course.

Great course for the price
Shorecliffs is a tough but great course hit the ball straight and you’ll be fine! The greens are better than any course around and for the price you can’t beat it!
super value gem
Really nice spring morning a little breezy at times but overall ideal. Fairways in good shape a little soft so not much roll but provided good cushion. Rough about 1-2 inches along the fairways but longer and thicker surrounding and approaching greens. Tees are not always level and a little thin in coverage at times. Bunkers are not consistent, some with good quality sand and a few that are on the thin with hardpan beneath.
Greens are always the highlight and have mostly recovered from being punched 4/29. Rolled medium/medium fast with some occasional grain to consider.
Layout is a little quirky and overall the course is tight with accuracy more of a priority than length. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Total waste of money
Used to play this course about 15 years ago when I lived closer so I thought I would make the drive and try it again. Upon arrival, we are notified that the course is missing two holes due to mud slides and Golf Now failed to mention this at the time of booking. Obviously disappointed after driving 45 minutes but what can you do. Fairways are unkept, tee boxes aren't flat and the golf carts are 25 years old. Needless to say we won't be back.

Not Good!
Front nine and hole 10 was under repair. Could not play it. Only back nine available twice. Was NOT told prior to booking. Back nine was in shabby shape. Maybe when they finish the total redo, it might be playable again. Don’t waste your time or money.

Fun course but is in need of improvements
The staff there is great and is really helpful! However, the pace is extremely slow on the weekends and the course as well as the facilities could use some updating. Overall it’s always a fun day and good for the price!

Don’t get sucked in by low price
I’ve played this course 10+ times now due to low
Prices, but. After today I am not going back. Extremely rude starter, scorecard is very wrong, course is still unfinished and under construction since more than a year ago and they obviously aren’t paying anyone to fix the fact that it’s reallt only 16 holes, they just split up two par 5 holes into par 3 and 4s. Don’t play this because it’s cheap, pay a few dollars more at any other place in OC for a much much better experience.
