The guy behind the golf desk was a jerk. Everyone else was really nice and helpful. But when you start you round with a jerk it takes the fun out of it.

Conditions were good, and the course played well. I will be back again to play this course. Interesting layout makes for a challenge each time I play this course.

This is a pretty course surrounded by beautiful homes.You don't have to hit it far, but very straight,
extremely straight! Nice greens, cheep price, 3 1/2 hr. round. What's not to like.

I've played this course many times. There has been a lot of work put into the course and it shows. You can't beat the price to play near the ocean where the weather is perfect almost all the time! The greens are in very good shape.

This course need a lot of challenges in playing and I love challenges in golf course. I'll play here often.

Course had a lot of very tight fairways and was definitely a challenge. It was backed up so pace of play was slow but not too bad. Food was good but service was horrible. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a burger. I waited about 15 minutes and got the burrito, but no burger. So then I had to wait for him to make that. Not to mention he was rude about everything. I finally got my burger, opened it and notice their was no bacon (which I paid for) I said forget about it I have to go we are already late for our tee time thanks to you.

...we enjoy the course and atmosphere...have played at least a couple of times a year for 6 years now...not much changes...

Clubhouse and facilities within it are dilapidated.
The course is challenging and beautifully designed.
Greens are very bumpy and not true. They need expert attention.

Terrible for most part. Greens like concrete. Fairways closed to carts in most cases and dry and bare

I played this course over twenty five years ago and it was in really bad shape. They have made many improvements since then . It is truly a great test of skills. You have to stay in the narrow fairways and if you do your approach shots are to well maintained greens that are fast but true. I had a really pleasant day and we played in 4 1/2 hours.

Not a bad course to play. Greens were good, fairways a bit firm and dry and some are narrow. Generally unforgiving if you miss the fairway, bring extra balls.
Tee boxes are very rough and uneven, need to be worked on. As a foursome the pace of play was good until we got to the 10th hole when another group mysteriously appeared and we had four groups backed up on the 10th hole, I assume they were in the clubhouse and decided to jump in front . The lead group and the twosome in front of us disappeared after the 14th hole so I assume they were locals playing their way home.

A pleasant experience. Pace of play was tolerable and scenery nice. No rude players on this course. Everyone is nice and easy going. I like it!

While the course conditions are limited, the greens are excellent; occasional ocean views are beautiful and the variety and challenge of many of the holes makes this course most enjoyable.

Played there many times and will continue to do so.

This is our favorite course in OC, beautiful, classic, friendly, challenging, ocean view, reasonable, you cannot beat it!

The Shorecliffs golf course is a classic golf course with open fairways and small greens. Accurate approach shots are rewarded as greens are in good condition and very fast.
The location is nice with different elevations going into canyons. Generally pace of play is good.
At the turn grab a sandwich of your choice. The food is fresh and prices are very reasonable.

Everything was great about the course and the men who worked in the pro shop are nice people who are eager to please the customer. The only drawback to the day was the hacking of the 2 players I was paired with. They both had to have shot around 120. Not that I'm good, but 95 beats 120 by a lot!!! lol

Got a good deal online but drove a hour to play a very poor mattneissed course

This course was challenging not because of its length but rather its many narrow fairways and doglegs along with strategically placed bunkers around the greens. Learned by the back nine to leave the driver in the bag on some of the shorter par 4's and go with 5 wood or iron. Some holes look deceivingly longer than they actually are so be guided by the yardage - accuracy is more important than distance on many holes. Fairways and greens were both in good condition. Even with a cart there is some walking involved as carts were restricted to paths on 8 or 9 of the holes. The only disappointment/complaint was the slow pace of play - took our foursome almost 5 hours but suspect this had more to do with it being a Sunday AM (we teed off at 10:30) and apparently there was some sort of tournament which had started earlier. Overall though my wife and I (both seniors) really enjoyed playing this course.

Myself and son played there for the first time and the course was very challenging because in some spot it was very narrow. We the loved the distance and the course in general and was a great buy for the money.

Shore Cliffs Golf Course has the best greens around here. they are working hard to improve course conditions, which show.
Clubhouse is dated and in need of refurbishing.
