Loughgall Golf Club

Have played here a few times, last few were in the winter/spring, playing in the hot summery conditions made this a much more enjoyable course to play, bunkers could have done with a bit more sand and weeds scrapped out bit fairways and greens were amazing

I booked the course online and paid £43 for my timeslot but I had to wait 1 hour to tee off as people who hadn't booked where queuing to play and there was no system to allow us to play at our designated time, people who had booked half an hour after me where teeing off before us, we where there 30 minutes before our time and had to wait a long time to tee off

Love this course, the value for money for a midweek game is unbeatable. On a sunny day, this course top class.

Only downside is the lack of club house but that doesn’t affect the course itself.

Be prepared for a very sloped back 9 however, the par 5 12th in particular is quite unforgiving if you get a bad roll off your drive.

This is my first choice for a round that isn’t going to break the bank, and it is generally kept in excellent condition.

Unfortunately only 9 holes were open due to oil on the greens. Played 1st nine twice - course in good condition and great weather helped.

Hydraulic oil has damaged 6 green on the back 9, all bookings made were honered making pace of play intolerable. It us (a 2 ball) just over 3 hours to play the front 9 once, we didn't have time to play it again.

I visited loughgall regularly, but this past week has changed my mind about going back. There were 3 groups on the first tee at the same tee time, pace of play was really slow, groups of kids holding everything up, lifting your ball, leaving the flag out from the greens etc. If your only going for fun and don’t play much fair enough but if you want somewhere that takes the game seriously then this isn’t for you

For a course that is owned by the council. Its pretty good

Booked a tee time and came to play golf with my brother, the lady at the desk refused us a cart and said there was none left then as we walked out we noticed there was about 7 carts still there, she was very rude and didn’t even offer a score card we had to ask for it, is your job really that complex? I feel as tho she didn’t want to give us the cart because we looked too young, we are both almost 30 years old!!

The best municipal course I have ever played. The course was in fantastic condition, good honest greens and very challenging for a high handicapper of the back tees. Great value for money so will definitely be back.

Where do you start. Pace of play was terrible, had to walk off after 10 holes, football tops for golf shirts, Bermuda shorts for trousers, this is not golf attire. Come on, make an effort!! 3 hours for 10 holes and it seemed everyone with a trolley had to walk over the tee-box with them. No golf etiquette by both old and young players. If you are a serious golfer DO NOT play this course. On a positive note, there are some great holes.
