Great course & pro shop. Course in excellent condition for this time of year. Only thing was holes 2&3 where closed for drainage works so could only play 16. Not the clubs fault but the price should be reflected by Golf Now.
Well kept course
Lovely course to play on. Staff in pro shop made me feel welcomed. Course kept 100%. Love the par 3’s. A great morning out playing this course.
Basic golf course. Extremely flat, which is nice for a walk.
The greens were the slowest I’ve seen in a long time.
A lot of two balls playing on a Sunday which was surprising.
A joy rather than a test
In the summer, when the weathers at it’s best the course is ridiculously lush. On a good day, photos of the course could be anywhere from the algarve to georgia. Big, mature trees are well spread out, so while hitting them is fairly likely, losing your ball isn’t. The sheer size of them however means being out of position does punish, but you’ll likely have the opportunity to get club to ball, so if you’re good enough, there’s an honest chance of negotiating them and rescuing the hole. The courses main drawback is it’s length, several par fours are comfortably reachable, but the trees do make it risk / reward. Lots of holes are comfortable with a long or even mid iron off the tee, and to be honest it’s probably best enjoyed this way. Likewise, the par 3s are short but we’ll guarded, with the lovely “pond” hole being well less than a wedge. Superb pro shop and good facilities. A properly enjoyable round of golf, and - based on what other courses charge - probably the best value for money in the country.
What a great little course. In absolute stunning condition. Great variety of holes. The par 3s were especially nice. Never had time to get into the club house but was ls busy and looked nice. Pro shop looked well stocked.
Portadown golf club
The course was well set up with fairways tight and rough cut too a minimal.
Tee boxes where amazing along with the greens running fast enough for this time off year. I would recommend any handicap too come along and try your luck, you won't be disappointed.
Lovely morning golf
Second time round this course in a few days after a long lay off, enjoyed it and starting to get game back
I don't normally leave reviews but thought I'd make the effort this time as the course was so good. Wasn't expecting too much as the deal I got was for just over £10 and it was worth every penny and more! Course was in great condition, the players I came across were nice and the weather was superb for a good days golf. Would definitely come again and recommend this course to anyone!
Course in excellent condition for this time of year. Only problem was too many leaves.
