Enjoyed a relaxing round
This was the first time we have played this course and we would certainly return. The course conditions were excellent considering it was mid April. The course is very hilly and it is important to determine where you are going to place your shots. Most greens have significant undulations. The colourful fish under the bridge on hole #17 are a sight to behold! It is definitely a course worth playing.
Great Round of golf
The course is challenging for a resort course and at the same time open.
Beautiful course but
Really enjoyed the course and the facilities and friendly staff, but the carts need gps to identify yardages, they have an app to download but it really doesn't function that well and I don't enjoy carrying my phone with me and constantly checkingthe app while trying to play such a nice course. Overall a great place to play especially for the hot deal I recieved
Challenging but Rewarding
Played this course for the first time and was impressed from start to finish. From the clubhouse to the driving range to the course itself, it was a pleasure. We played late in the year and it was in great condition.
The course was challenging and narrow in many areas but it also offered some holes that afforded a little less accuracy. This course has it's share of water and bunkers that are well placed but often resulted in some frustration.
We will be back to play this course again next year!
4guysin branson
Course looked to be in good shape. It had been raining most of the Night, its a killer if you have to walk to your ball from the cart path. Look for a sunny warm day and play it. Thought the Pro Shop people could have been nicer. Resturant in club house was good and quick
Great course and wonderful scenery
Will play again next spring and possibly next fall
Great Mountain Golfing
Maybe the best outing this year.
We've been to The Quarry and LA Cantera; Paakoridge Ridge, Cochiti, and UNM Championship Course; Holiday Hills and Payne Stewart; Star Ranch
Great staff
Friendly all the way around. From our greeting in the parking lot to the check-in desk to the Resturant. I look forward to playing there again.
great day at payne
course was in excellant condition.front nine played in less than 2 hours.back nine 2 1/2.had a great deal from golfnow,.other wise course pretty pricey .play the right t boxes to enjoy your round.we played silvers at 6200 yds.made for an enjoyable day.
Pricy to play
This is a very beautiful course. Not for the average golfer though. Cost is on the high side. Golfnow hot deals were never available to me. I'm reluctant to pay street price only to get beat up on very difficult course.
Payne Stewart
First time playing this course and it was worth every penny. Greens were tremendous and challenging. We will definitly go again! The Golf Now price made it affordable. The club house if beautiful!
Great course but...
Nice course, great layout, expensive green fees. Loved the Zoysia fairways. Greens were huge but the pins were in sadistic places. Save those for tourneys, not regular play! GPS iPads were high tech but annoying. Commercials would actually start playing randomly at inopportune times - unsatisfactory. Also, the aerial views were useless satellite photos and not the informative cartoon-type illustrations other GPS' display. There were multiple washes and creeks to carry but you couldn't tell that on the satellite aerials. No military discount.
Beautiful course
30+ years of playing golf and this course is my new favorite.
Great Course/Friendly Staff
Had a great time playing the course. Got paired up with two great locals from Branson. Course was in great shape. GPS tablets on the cart are great for first timers. Gives you yardages from everywhere. Starter was very friendly and directed me to everything. Will definitely play again, if I travel to Branson again.
a must play
Great course, don't miss this one, but choose which tees to play carefully, there is plenty of challenge out there.
Beautiful and Extremely Challenging.
Beautiful golf course that will test you mentally and physically. A number of really strong holes (loved most of the par 4's) with some questionable ones interspersed throughout - number 18 is terrible.
Zoysia fairways were in great shape and the greens were better than average on speed. Numerous forced carries from the tee or into green so if you have short hitters, they will struggle and only enjoy the scenery.
Starter was very friendly but the pro shop person was uncommunicative and almost rude in his reluctance to talk. Guess 0800 is too early for him.
Resort prices at $100 each. Pace of play was slow due to difficulty for groups ahead of us.
Very nice course
The course was in excellent condition and somewhat challenging. Pace of play was good. Overall a very good experience.
humbling but fun
Very nice track, well-maintained and quite challenging. Ample fairways offset by slope, finding a flat lie was a treat. Huge greens with many a dead elephant buried made putting a challenge as well. Still, good experience and good fun.
Vacation Experience
Played this course by myself for the first time this week. Was met in the parking lot and welcomed with a cart and given information. They worked me in early before my T-time. Really enjoyed the course. Fairways were great. Greens in good shape. Challenging course though.
David Raley
Old couple of foursome would not let us pass. Slow as molasses.
