Spa Golf Club

Course was quiet, as you'd expect on a drizzly November morning...

Made welcome on arrival by the club professional and directed to start from the 10th tee.

Course was wet in places due to recent weather but in good condition, particularly the greens which ran true at a good pace.

Had a few searches among the leaves when off the fairway, no the fault of the course!

Really enjoyed the round, a scenic and testing course. A really good winter golf experience. Look forward to going back in the season.

4th November but you couldn’t tell. A dull morning, leaves and damp. But Spa was in very good condition for winter. A few wet spots overall holding up great to the weather. No complaints from our group. Keep up the great work Spa green keepers. Wonderful, genuine parkland course.

First time playing this course and was really impressed, a very well maintained course, firm fast fairways and zippy greens and that was after a few downpours of rain. Will 100% be back to play again

Great day out from the minute we arrived staff friendly and welcoming, course was great very fast greens difficult pins a real challenge. Club house is stunning and out door area for lunch was great, The only disappointment was the chicken gjoun wrap had very little chicken and bulked out with salad otherwise no complaints.

On arrival we were informed that only the back 9 holes were in play and that we were not guaranteed to get out for a second nine due to other bookings. They offered us an additional 4 holes the first second seventeenth and eighteenth which seemed strange as the front nine was out of play!!! When we asked for a refund or an alternative date when all holes would be in play we were told neither were an option. All in all not an enjoyable experience!!

Drove over an hour to meet a friend for golf. Arrived to find the front 9 closed due to poor weather the previous day. They could've emailed out to let people know. Greens also just top dressed, again no communication. Full price paid (32.50), to pay half a course with sandy greens. Guys in the pro shop were happy for us to play the back 9 twice (yay).

Nice course in good condition, very dry considering the wet weather.

A lot of pins in tricky positions but annoyingly playing off mats.

Would be glad to play again but I'll check for mats beforehand next time.

I returned to my home town today to play here as ive heard how it was in fantasic condition and prob in the best shape around, now ive played alot of courses of late including a pga national course so maybe my expectations were high.

On arrival carpark and clubhouse was quiet which was great, checked in with the pro shop and was greeted by a lovely woman (sorry cant remember name) but had a great chat and seemed very interested in us and where we played which I love... great welcome

Tee'd off and away we went, now the weather has been very hot I understand but alot of the fairways were very dry and cracked in places, always having to play the ball to the topside of a sloped fairway just to have it roll all the way to the bottom into rough, greens were in good shape and lightening fast.. wow caught me out a few times but not complaining as it was a good test... overall I enjoyed the course but lacking some lush green on the fairways.

After our round we went to the clubhouse to have a few pints and somthing to eat only to find no bar or food being served, it was around 3pm on a Thursday and was a little surprised at that and a first for me... not all was lost after speaking to the lovely lady from the pro shop she managed to get somone to pour us a pint but felt a little disappointed as I had came here for the day and had to go elsewhere in search for food

I will return for sure but after the recomdations about condition it wasnt what I expected.. still a fantasic course but I maybe just picked the wrong time weather wise to play it.

Headed out for 4.10 pm tee Sunday. Arrived 45 mins early and shop was closed. Advised on first tee that ladies were playing a match in front of us. We wouldn't be allowed to play through. Greens were very wet due to heavy rain. Long story short 9 holes took nearly 2 hours and 40 mins and we decided just to head in at that point. Left us feeling a bit short changed on the day but really nice course and good clubhouse.

Best course I’ve played to date this year..brilliant course in great condition will definitely be back..first time playing the course and didn’t know what to expect or where the green where but good layout and will be back

Great course great conditions and would highly recommend this course to play..especially if u can get it as a hot deal offer..will definitely be back to play again

Course is in fantastic condition.

Only down side is the bar was closed at the 19th

First time I have played Spa golf course .

Really impressed.

It is in fantastic condition from tee to green, and all in between.

Will make a point of definitely returning to play it again.

Green staff have done an excellent job to get Spa golf course into such great condition so early.
