First time playing here
Absolutely class course
The maintenance at this place is perfect
The course is very scenic
To busy looking around instead of finding your ball lol
I will 100% be coming back again
Disturbance throughout round otherwise good wee course
The course is quite good but it would have been nice to have been notified beforehand or on arrival of maintenance taking place during the round. Having to wait on every other hole for the workers whilst they punch the greens and cut the fairways killed the mood a wee bit. Also them driving right next to you while your standing over your ball in the fairway and right next to the green whilst your putting is a bit off putting.
Great course
Fantastic course to try for my first time, the clubhouse shop assistant was very helpful with where to go to tee off, and course rules.
1 bad point was the players in front of me where much slower then me. But didn't bother me just thought I would add that
Brilliant value
Had a great round at Aberdelghy, course in great condition. Staff really good. Amazing value for money.
back nine a lot better since course redesign
play was very slow, a lot of young golfers on the course but the condition of the course was good. greens were quick, layout of back nine a lot better since it was changed a few years ago, definitely a good test for a somewhat smallish course. well worth a try
Top class course!
Top class course I'm going tomorrow to buy a membership 🙂 brilliant 👏 also has work being done to better the course too witch is brilliant to see !!
Cheap and cheerfull
Played here a load of times.
Course was still wet and transitioning from winter to summer. Mats in play in the fairway and mats for tee boxes.
Greens were rock hard and like concrete. Sand has been laid under to keep them dry. Hard to get a read as they look fairly flat but go like the clappers, took the dent off the round as I couldn’t sink anything.
For the price it’s decent enough.
The 1st has a big GUR which the drip zone is in the rough even though it’s half the fairway further down.
It’s always good for a little knock through and I will play again as the cost is good for what it is.
Very good condition considering rain we have had winter mats atm £7 a piece so bring with u.overall really enjoyable game
Winter Golf at Aberdelghy
During the winter months you do have to play mats on the fairway but the man in the pro shop was very accommodating and fair in letting you loan some. The course can get a bit wet but overall it’s alright. Greens are not the best (shoe and pitch marks) but the speeds are challenging and if golfers fixed these marks the greens would be top notch. Layout is generally okay with the back nine being slightly longer but the sixteenth hole is absolutely amazing.
Well priced available course
I've played Aberdelgy a number of times and I always find it well kept, (especially for a public course) friendly and well priced.
It's a short course with no par 5's, but that suits a lot of golfers who want to rattle round in under 4 hours and get on with their day.
The greens are always well maintained and consistent and with a few doglegs and water features, it still carries a threat for wayward shots.
Well worth a visit.
