Spa Golf Club

My club Pro recommended Spa to me. He had played and was very complimentary. Lovely afternoon beautiful fairways. Greens where in excellent condition even the bunkers after all the rain beforehand where in great shape. Only reason I don't give "condition" 5 stars was in some places it was a little mucky from all the heavy rain. A little picky. Felt like a long course with some great greens with tricky pin positions. Really enjoyed and great value. Will definitely be back.

Played the course on Tuesday afternoon and it was quiet. I hadn’t played the course before. Greens and fairways were in very good condition. A bit hilly. But overall it was great value for money.

Course was in very good condition...tee boxes, fairway and greens.

Previous comment relating to sloping tee boxes seemed to be now fixed. Quite a few boxes relayed as grass seemed very new.

Would definitely play here again...an interesting course with a good variety of different holes.

Not too difficult and very few out if bounds areas.

Fairways were in great condition. Tee boxes and greens were not. Played of a lot of uneven tee boxes. A lot of tee boxes were also in very poor condition. We were a two ball but were stuck behind a group that decided to play as an 8 ball up the 18th. My father and I picked up 3 Budweiser bottles on the side of the 15th, 16th and 17th greens. Staff were very friendly but I feel that £18 per player was far too expensive for what we experienced

Due to busy golf course played back 1st and front 2nd,only criticism is tees not numbered so if not familiar with course......,took a while to find 14 got in way of few golfers,sorry!,but once got tee-ing off enjoyed my day just the challenging wind

Long course so fits bit hitters unless you have alot of shots from handicap

For December this course was in fantastic condition. Fairways still firm. Greens were beautiful and true. Buggies allowed .... in December..... in Ireland. .... what more can I say !!!

I played on a Sunday morning with 2 friends and all 3 of us loved the course. It was nice to play off tee boxes and still on the proper greens. The entire course was in excellent conditions (a couple of bumpy greens) and we all loved the layout.

I will definitely play this again and would strongly recommend to anyone.

Very enjoyable parkland course with a number of stand-out holes. Suffering a bit from the current drought but the greens were excellent and true. Surprisingly hilly. Well-appointed modern clubhouse.

Great course in great surroundings. And definitely a course you need a few rounds in to get the read of it

I had a coffee after 9holes, hoping that I’d feel less frustrated by the slowness of play. Nope.

Don’t go there. Even the coffee is horrendous .

As a former member of this course one of the reasons I left was people cutting in at the 10th hole.we were out quite early but when we reached the 10th 3 four balls had cut in ,in front of us.To make things worse the first tee box was free.It has been a problem at this Course for years they really need to sort it out

My favourite course in Northern Ireland from so many points of view - the layout the condition of the greens etc and the fairways One little bugbear which applies to many courses - from the newcomer's angle make sure that there are no ambiguities to do with signing and directions. One should not have to search for the next tee it should be clearly pointed out. The clubhouse is almost luxurious, the facilities excellent every contact with the staff totally satisfying.and helpful.And of course the club is situated in the unrivalled beauty of the rolling county down countryside

We really liked this course. Tough under foot from the heavy rain the night before, but course held up well. Hole layout was how we like it, "challenging". Rolling hills pleasing to the eye. Will definitely be back.

Due to competition, the pace of play ahead of our 2 ball was very slow. Apart from that. The course was in fine condition. Greens were close to perfect. Fairways and rough were clearly very well kept. Great value for money. The strong wind makes some long par 4's longer but some par 5's easy to make in 2 going the other way. Good layout. Played a few times before and will definitely go back.

First time playing this course. really enjoyed it. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very enjoyable course, challenging but still chances to score at some holes. Had a lovely feed in restaurant after, Great day all round would recommend to anyone and I plan to visit again soon.
