1st time around
Great course but the uphill on the 6th hole requires a strong set of lungs! There was a competition on when we went round and 5th and 6th were closed for the competition but we were told in the shop it was open to visitors. The 5th green was flooded but the hole was playable if you were careful. Some old boy from another tee (obviously in the competition) came and took a photo of us on the green, not sure if he thought we shouldn’t have been there or what but didn’t seem to have the decency to give off face to face! Would visit again if I get my breath back!
Excellent golfing experience
Great Golf Club with friendly and helpful Staff and Members. The course played nicely very rewarding for straight hitting. I played the course after a very heavy nights rain and it had a few puddles in some bunkers which the ground staff were efficiently sorting out. The greens were well managed although one or two a little soft underfoot, but all played true. Well done to all at St. Patrick's.
Really enjoyable course.
Both of us had a nice day on the course and the greens were tricky and in great ORDER which is what we like.

Great course.
I've played this course a few times now. The course is always in excellent condition. The views are spectacular.
A golfing gem in County Down
Played on a nice morning in July with little wind. Great course. Not long but tricky, Nice par 3s. One over water. Two long par 5s up hill. Greens were fantastic. Running really well. Would definately play again.
Worth £12 but no more than that.
Course was nice enough but we had booked to tee off at 7.45 and staff didnt look happy to have to open up so early. Just about helpful and no more. We also seemed to be playing at the same pace as the greenskeepers were cutting and they didnt have any time to stop for us to tee off/putt. We were also told by one very snooty woman player who was 1 hole behind us that if they catch up we needed to let them play through as they were playing a match. Im aware of the ettiquitte of golf and they didnt catch up on our 4 ball until the 18th. Nice to have played but would not rush back.
Nice views, good greens
Course was nice, greens in good order, nice views. A couple of par 5s that are not really par 5 distance, and I'm not a big hitter. Speed golfers in buggies not really appreciated.
Surprisingly great course
I was on holiday in the County Down area and decided to play this course based on some feedback I had received from friends. I was staying in Newcastle and was lined up to play Royal County Down and Ardglass, and so I was looking another course to play while in the area. I must say how this made a welcome change after the two days, yet still played quite like a links course.
The course has some amazing views across the county Down area and was in excellent condition - especially the greens. The clubhouse was fairly modern and our meal after was of good quality and reasonably priced. I enjoyed my round and would definitely be back again. I'll be back in County Down and will be watching GolfNow for future deal on this place!
