About
Situated just minutes from the Gold Coast beaches in the heart of Boca Raton, Southwinds Golf Course enjoys warm ocean breezes and lush vegetation. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes. There are also mature trees throughout that will play a deciding role in shaping your shots. The golf course offers some enjoyably difficult holes but overall the challenges are manageable. Each hole is unique offering everything from opportunities to "grip it and rip it" and others that are defined by trees and lakes. The golf course finishes with one of its many water holes but on this par 4, you have to hit over water twice. In addition to the golf course, Southwinds also offers a driving range a putting green with a practice bunker.

Slow average at best condition SLOW like 5 hours and no Marshall design doesn’t help either lots of negatives positive is done at that place
2 four balls, a 2 ball on the tee, and waiting
Nice course. This course would benefit from an actual starter who can properly send groups off in a timed manner. My group was waiting and pushed the entire day. At one point (par 5) there was a four ball on the green, four ball in play, group teeing off, us waiting, with the 4 ball behind us driving up. We hit into the group 2x and got hit into 2x. I would rather wait 10 minutes and be properly paced instead of pushing and being pushed the entire round.
We very much appreciate your feedback and apologize if your round wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. Our starters normally do a great job and we will be looking into the day that you played so that we can address your comments with our staff. Always an enjoyable round at Southwinds. One of the better public courses around. Greens weren't in as good condition compared to my previous visits.
Thanks for your continued support, Paul. We have had a wild start to 2018 weather wise with an unusual amount of rain. That's why the greens were a bit slower than they usually are this time of year. Once Mother Nature cooperates they will be back and better than ever.
Nice course
Lots of water hazards and bunkers. Still not bothering a good player, bacause of the good overall layout. Greens in good condition with reasonable breaks. Had to wait a lot, because of the two guys in our flight. Just bad luck for us.

Southwind; nicely kept but ultimately ungratifying.
Southwinds is in better shape than many nearby public courses, but its layout is a little under-stimulating after first few holes and the pace of play can get to be quite slow.
We're sorry to hear that you didn't find the layout to be very exciting. While we're not the longest course around, Southwinds will definitely make you think your way around if you want to put up a good score. Maybe you just need a second look at it. ;) Thanks for the review!
Good Golf
We had a great day at Southwinds. We were very fortunate. The weather was perfect. We never had to wait. Everything went very smoothly. We lost a few balls in the water but we had fun anyhow. It is challenging course and exciting to play.

Great
Was very impressed with the overall course conditions. Greens were on the fast side, but very satisfied with this course. Some of the other municipal golf courses in the area could take a lesson from Southwinds on how to put a course back into condition after a major storm.

We're so glad all of our hard work has been noticed after Hurricane Irma. We even recently completed replacing the netting around our range and it is now fully open again. We hope to see you again soon.
Nice course
The greens were fast. Decent condition from fairways to greens. Challenging from the Gold tees

A nice course
The fairways and greens are in good shape. The first 2 holes the water comes into play. Big time. A fair course.
Great short course
The course was in as good of shape as ever. It's been raining a lot so the greens were holding well. The greens are always nice. This is a great course for shorter hitters but it's a little too tight for bombers to enjoy except for a few holes. It has a nice range area including chipping, putting and even bunker shots. All in all Southwinds is a fun course for a reasonable price.

Nice short course
Couple odd holes but makes it interesting
Can play quick in the hest and still enjoy a round
