South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
About
Located in the heart of southwest Florida, Spanish Well Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers 27 holes of championship golf amidst towering stands of palms and pines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course combines the longest of the three nines. Water characterizes the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also strategically placed bunkers and a few tricky doglegs to watch out for. The layout presents a challenging, but fair test. The golf course finishes with one of the club's prettiest holes, a par 4 with mature trees that run along the entire right side of the fairway until they reach the lateral water hazard. Past the bunkered green, the clubhouse and the colorful surrounding flowerbeds serve as the backdrop.

Golfer Reviews
2nd chance same review
I want to like this course as it is located in a great area. Sadly this course needs a complete overhaul. It’s just not up to par with anything else in the area. It’s in need of a redesign and new course management
Decent
Ok course but like much of Naples public golf, overpriced. Average course conditions at best. May go back only because they aren't many good options.
No so great Today
The East course is better but the south fairways were very wet, especially first 3 holes. Greens on the slow side.
dreadful
the layout if the course is quite interesting . But they need to shut this place down , the fairways are appauling .Most of the holes were like playing in a farmers field . The drainage on the fairways is awful to Non existent.
Not at It's Best
South course fairways were wet and seem to be always wet. Greens were furry and slow. East course better. Good value as a hot deal at around $75. Staff is terrific, range was ok.
Not Up To Par
I’ve played all four 9’s in the past, and conditions were previously much better. The North course was the most disappointing. Several tee boxes were chopped up and/or not level. The fairways were thin, and where there was more grass, they cut too low. The greens were ok, but many of the golfers are too lazy to fix their ball marks. I probably repaired an average of 3 or 4 ball marks per hole. The South course was in better condition. Although all SWF courses are now ridiculously over-priced, Spanish Wells is a more reasonably over-priced course.
Second time playing
Played 18 paired with another friendly and fun couple. We played the combo blue/white and white/red. Previous time we did white only and green only. Course is definitely more challenging for longer play, as in more water hazards in front of tee box. South course was a bit soggy due to recents rain but still was ok play.
mediocre course
way overpriced for what it is, greens were ok but the rest of the course was mediocre at best
Played East and North Nines. Course and greens were in good shape despite recent rains. North 9 was more challenging due to water hazards.Pace of play just over 4 hrs. Staff very friendly and helpful.Enjoyed round and will return.
