South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
About
Located in the heart of southwest Florida, Spanish Well Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers 27 holes of championship golf amidst towering stands of palms and pines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course combines the longest of the three nines. Water characterizes the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also strategically placed bunkers and a few tricky doglegs to watch out for. The layout presents a challenging, but fair test. The golf course finishes with one of the club's prettiest holes, a par 4 with mature trees that run along the entire right side of the fairway until they reach the lateral water hazard. Past the bunkered green, the clubhouse and the colorful surrounding flowerbeds serve as the backdrop.

Golf course or backyard? Photo submitted by Jimmy3044469 on 06/14/2018
Spanish Wells
I Played afternoon deal round and was very satisfied with the course. Some holes were difficult due to the lay out. The course was in excellent shape after the busy season. Greens, tee boxes and traps were all groomed nicely. Summer rates and deals at Spanish Wells are much better other courses in the area.
Staff catered to a sixsome
I was suppose to play with three strangers, but the staff moved me to a later starting time to cater to six guys who wanted to play together. The held up play for the groups behind them which included a tournament of the members that caught up to us.
Rough shape
The staff is incredibly friendly, but everything from the range balls, to bunker rakes, and the all grass except the greens were in rough shape.
Great per Usual
Always a great time playing here, live 5 minutes down the road so it works out great to get a quick 18 in. It’s hot but that keeps others away so the course was pretty open.
A great course
An experience not to miss - great course and very challenging in places - some holes really make you think whether the hero shot will work or better to play safe and lay up. Bruce, the Ranger and cart man was excellent. Friendly and helpful and gave us good advise. The clubhouse is immaculate and the Pro Shop has a great range of clothing and accessories.
Don't miss this gem near Naples!
It is our time.
Great we'll go golf course. Season is over. Lower the rates for the locals please. It is our time let's be serious.
Above expectations
We played East/North and loved the layout, conditions, deal price, and staff.
Staff greets you in the parking lot with cart, handle clubs, towels and explanations of the course, amenities and all. We loved it so much we are looking at possibility moving there as we love Bonita Springs.
Keep in your rotation
We have a condo in the Bonita Springs area and spend 6-8 weeks there. We have rotated through most of the public/ public-private courses in the Naples/Estero/Ft Myers area. While Tiberon is our favorite, for 25% of the cost Spanish Wells is a good track to keep in the mix. We played North/South- with a notable difference in the tight layout of North. South was more playable and enjoyable. Will try East next. Greens rolled well, fairways in good shape. Check in staff awesome.
