South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
About
Located in the heart of southwest Florida, Spanish Well Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers 27 holes of championship golf amidst towering stands of palms and pines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course combines the longest of the three nines. Water characterizes the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also strategically placed bunkers and a few tricky doglegs to watch out for. The layout presents a challenging, but fair test. The golf course finishes with one of the club's prettiest holes, a par 4 with mature trees that run along the entire right side of the fairway until they reach the lateral water hazard. Past the bunkered green, the clubhouse and the colorful surrounding flowerbeds serve as the backdrop.

Golfer Reviews
Fun course
Played the whites because that’s what playing partners wanted. A little short but fun course in decent shape. Hole #7 on the North course is a “fishhook” layout which I really didn’t like.
1st time & round at Spanish Wells
Nice layout but needs some course maintenance to bring overall conditions up … good greens
Nice Track for the Money
Still navigating local public courses. I added this one to my list. Fairways OK and greens were in good shape. Rolled true. 3 nines. Played the South and East. Staff was accommodat and friendly.
Over sold
This isnt a complaint about course condition, but our foursome waited at the first tee box for 1/2 hr. beyond our scheduled TT so a members tournament could finish making the turn. There were 3 more foursomes behind us waiting. Managment could care less that we all had to wait. It was a typical over sell of the course during the high season. Do yourself a favor and call the course before you book.
Three 9s and conveniently located
Arrival and checkin were nicely handled, even at the front gate. The staff was service minded. They represented Spanish Wells professionally and friendly.
Overall, its a very playable course. Aim well, or pay!
Around the water hazards, the landscaping is significantly beat up. This may be to the recent Hurricane Ian. The fairways on the south 9 need work. The east course fairways are good. All greens are true. I’d like to include the north course on a future visit.
