South/East at Spanish Wells Country Club
About
Located in the heart of southwest Florida, Spanish Well Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers 27 holes of championship golf amidst towering stands of palms and pines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course combines the longest of the three nines. Water characterizes the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also strategically placed bunkers and a few tricky doglegs to watch out for. The layout presents a challenging, but fair test. The golf course finishes with one of the club's prettiest holes, a par 4 with mature trees that run along the entire right side of the fairway until they reach the lateral water hazard. Past the bunkered green, the clubhouse and the colorful surrounding flowerbeds serve as the backdrop.

Golfer Reviews
very bad fairways
The fairways was very bad not for playing at all. They made new grass lines but way to far from each others. greens was ok. there are many others more nice courses, try them
Nice course
Overall, I think it’s a good course. The greens were in great shape. No beverage cart, but there wasn’t much play so I get that. We had a threesome holding us up. Other than that, it was a good experience.
Bang for your buck
Good course. Great value. Would not hesitate to play it again.
Not great
The course itself is just not very interesting, not kept in amazing shape (weeds in the fairway, overgrown tee boxes). However, for $35 (including cart), it's passable.
The practice area was my real issue. It was $5 to hit 30 cracked, limited flight balls, off matts (so can't practice tee shots) into water with no targets. A complete waste of time in my opinion. In addition, the putting and chipping greens weren't open. I got there 45 minutes before my tee time to warm up and found myself without anything to do once I realized the driving range wasn't going to do anything for my game.
Visiting from Tx
I enjoyed playing. The greens were cut short enough to not be really grainy so they put true with out a lot of exaggerated break. Fairways do have a lot of mixed grass and weeds and they were not mown down when I played but I guess that could be expected at a cheaper rate course. It honestly does mess with me on a par 3 when the box has fluff almost as tall as rough. I had fun though! South course is really short but made for a perfect warm up 9.
Junior's play free
Learned at check in, 15yr Olds and under play free with paid adult. Well worth it
