Very nice course. There are several holes that challenge your club selections. This course would be complete if the sand traps were playable.

I like the course layout and think that the course has potential but its simply in poor shape and its been like that for a decade. They apparently have new greens now but I found them mediocre. Sand traps are abysmal and have been like that forever. Fairways are splotchy, lots of exposed hard clay/sand.

Someone basically needs to come drop a million on this course. If you want to go hack some balls for fun then this course works. If you want to have a nice round of golf on a quality course go elsewhere.

The staff and personnel at Falls Village are great. I’ve played here many times but it has been awhile. The greens are in very good shape. The fairways for the most part are decent. There are some exceptions though. A few holes need some turf maintenance. The sand traps and bunkers are abysmal. Not one had sand in it. The are washed out , red clay and wet. They should either turn them into grass bunkers completely or spend some time and energy fixing them properly. This course could be a premier venue but whoever owns it needs to step up and fix it correctly Great layout, decent for the price but needs attention badly.

Course was in pretty good shape! Fairways and tee boxes were cut very nice, some patches of weeds in the fairways but little spots. Cmon guys - fix the bunkers!!!! Every one was a pool of water, I'm guessing from the rain we had 2 days ago but, even with that aside, they were a disaster! Also confirming the many other comments from the past couple months where people liked the course but the traps were so bad they were unhittable. That's fixable and would like to see the course do something about it because the course is very nice and is definitely on my "play again" list!

Had not played the course in 3 years. Looks like it had been that long since they had put sand in the traps.

Not a better course for the money in the Triangle. Last year they re-did all the greens, and it shows. Tremendous track.

Looks like traps haven’t had sand in them for years. Grass is growing in the traps. 3 years ago this was a great course and the last time I was there. Won’t be back!

I always love the layout of this course and the staff is always great! The greens our in great shape. There are quite a few of bare spots in the fairways and the tee boxes. The bunkers are totally unplayable. They have weeds growing in many of them and they haven’t had a power rake go through them in a long time. I contribute the bunker situation to the lack of staff they might have working on the grounds crew. I sure that’s due to Covid-19 and not having the budget. I still play the course because I love the layout and we just take a free drop when in the bunkers. Nice budget course could be a great course with the budget.

The greens and most areas around the greens are in great shape. Most "fairways" are dirt patches. There was no staff on site when I got there so I just got in a cart and teed off. Pace of play was unbelievably slow for 1:00pm on a weekday. There was no ranger to contact to help speed things up. It's unreal that they operate like this. The Crossings is another course about 3 minutes down the same highway as Falls Village. It's ~$5 more expensive (may even be the same price depending on day and time) but it's in far better shape and has a better layout. I'd highly suggest heading there as it is worth the marginal increase in cost.

Could be a good course if properly maintained, but it's a mess now.

The course has a great layout and a great staff. The pace of play was great...finished in just under 4 hours. The only negative I have is a good bit of the fairways were not in good shape. Lots of dead spots which is probably due to the extreme weather we're experiencing. The greens roll great are in good shape and excluding a couple that had dead spots on the edges. Normally, this is a 4-star course. Once the fairways heal, and management completes their rebuilding projects, it will be again.

Falls Village has one of the most beautiful layouts in the area, set in rolling hills and guarded by trees. The greens are in excellent shape. However, the fairways are spotty and the sand traps are unplayable and need to be replaced. For the price it's not bad but it would be a much better course if they would just do some maintenance.

I haven't played Falls Village in years. I heard that conditions were poor and that may be true, but the course appears to be making a come back.

The greens were in very good condition. Fairways were a little spotty in places but were good for the most part. Off the fairways and the bunkers could use some work, but the course appears to be heading in the right direction.

I read many negative reviews - a bit harsh, really. Course is playable - no drainage issues noticed. Yep - bunkers need work. Green were really good - compared to some other popular courses. Can be a challenging course .I believe this course will continue to improve.
