About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Great Course
Solid course, nice folks. Enjoyable place and a good value, a place you can score well, fairly forgiving if you play smart..
Great Conditions
The course is in great shape. Fairways are less firm with recent rain, and greens are medium fast and hold shots. Just the kind of conditions you'd always like to have. With a slow foursome (who never waived anyone through) in front of 3 twosomes, our round took 4.5 hours on a Wednesday instead of 3.5 hours. It would be nice if the management hired a ranger to speed up play.
Great course and consistently improving
Had another great round at Callahan’s. They are continuing to clear brush, improve fairways and greens and provide an excellent experience. I can’t say enough good things about this course and the family atmosphere they have.

Solid course for the monry
Callahan is a solid course for the money. It has wide fairways and allows for some great risk reward. It offers an all around experience as you can play from the white tees for some shorter target golf or head back to the black tees for a much lengthier round. Bring all the clubs and use whichever ones are working for you. It is well worth the drive to Waleska.
DOESN'T ACCEPT TEE OFF PRICING
The course was great, but they wouldn't accept TEE OFF's rate. I had to pay the full rate when I got there. It was only a little more, but I ended up paying $12 at the time I booked on TEE OFF and then I had to pay the full amount when I got there. So, I guess I lost $12.
Was only able to play first two holes due to slow players in front of me. Started at 3:30 and got to the third hole at 5:15. Had to leave after second hole because it took to long and was not able to finish, wasted $50.
WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE FIX THEIR BALL MARKS ON THE GREENS?!?!
That isn't a knock on the course, but on rhe clientele.
Great to see that several tee boxes are being repaired, sodded, etc.
Fun layout for the most part, and good conditions for the most part. Good work on the bunkers; players should figure out why those rakes are next to them, haha.
Greens rolled a little slower than they usually roll.
