About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

G Money’s review
Love everything about Callahan except they do a terrible job with making sure folks are keeping up with the group ahead of them. It was a 4.5 hour round yesterday because a threesome was holding up 4 groups behind them and no one was out there keeping an eye on pace of play. Get this fixed and you’ll be one of my favorite courses.
Underbrush removal
First time I’ve played here since November and I love the way you’ve cleared the underbrush and some trees from around the course. Improves the aesthetics and playability of the course.
Keep it in rotation
Course conditions are a little rough right now, which isn’t abnormal for this time of year. It will continue to be a course I play on a regular basis
Beyond Extremely Challenging
The course is in good shape for early spring. Unfortunately, the wind (20+ mph) picked up in the afternoon and made the holes with unprotected greens impossible. We had several balls literally blow off the greens (one rolled off the green into the adjacent water hazard). Just watch out for high winds and enjoy a good course.

Have played here many times. Coarse will be in great shape with spring coming. Great value
Perfect Day Golfing
The course is in good shape for this time of year. In a few weeks things should start greening up. They are working on the tee boxes, trying to get them into better shape. They cut all the rough over the winter but as spring comes, it will get nasty if you hit in it.
Super wet…super fun
Got a gallon of rain the past few days, lots of standing water but a beautiful sunny day and was well worth money spent. Staff is great. Layout is great. True links style tough to figure out the wind. Lots of knockdown shots. Will use every club in the bag and I bet it is that much better when it’s dry. Only issue was awful pace and the Marshall could not care less. Still a great course.
First Time
Very wet and spongy - but after-all it’s winter-springtime. Look forward to playing when it greens up and dries up.
