About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Have played here many times. Coarse will be in great shape with spring coming. Great value
Perfect Day Golfing
The course is in good shape for this time of year. In a few weeks things should start greening up. They are working on the tee boxes, trying to get them into better shape. They cut all the rough over the winter but as spring comes, it will get nasty if you hit in it.
Super wet…super fun
Got a gallon of rain the past few days, lots of standing water but a beautiful sunny day and was well worth money spent. Staff is great. Layout is great. True links style tough to figure out the wind. Lots of knockdown shots. Will use every club in the bag and I bet it is that much better when it’s dry. Only issue was awful pace and the Marshall could not care less. Still a great course.
First Time
Very wet and spongy - but after-all it’s winter-springtime. Look forward to playing when it greens up and dries up.

Probably won't go back
Fairways and greens were in horrible condition. Slowest play ever. It was a nice day so I understand the amount of players but we had to wait for a cart. Paid for 18 but was only able to get 7 holes in due to players in front of us. Played through a really slow older couple only to find 4 somes in front of them at every hole.
Fun, but thin, rock hard fairways
Good layout, I normally love playing on bermuda fairways - even dormant - but these were very thin and rock hard. Ball rolled forever which led to trouble (which is everywhere on this course). Greens were fine for this time of year - very firm but not terrible. I'm sure it's much more playable in-season.
Great course with great rates but don’t arrive in a hurry.
I really enjoyed the course layout and the course is in good shape for early March but after a 3 hour front nine and two foursomes backed up in front of us on hole 10 I packed it up and called it a day. The group in front of us was dreadfully slow and there was no Marshall in sight to do anything about it. I’d like to play this course again and see the back nine but will try a weekday next time.
