Callahan Golf Links
About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Golfing guy
I play a few course around Cartersville Ga. Woodland Hills is one of those challenging course I have enjoyed. The staff is friendly. Excellent price for the round and the pace of play is good.
Not the same as it used to be
Very slow play and a lot of golfers using a bunch of breakfast balls on just about every shot.
Slow play and not a lot of golfers not repairing the damage they are responsible for..
Sad to see this course go downhill
Woody
Great place to play a round of golf. Josh and all the staff are very friendly.
No idea what to do when there is frost delay
One of the most frustrating days playing golf.Understand that there was a frost delay and we’re told there was a 1 hour delay. We would have been fine.with that but it was more like 2 1/2 hours.
Then instead of doing a shotgun start like every other course they started everyone on #1..Over 3 hours later we finished the front 9 and there was no way we were going to finish 18.
Didn’t see a lot of people on the front 9 as we played the last few holes on the front so a shotgun start would have worked a lot better than having everyone start on #1
Gave up after # 11 as there was a foursome waiting on the tee box as the group in front of them had just finished teeing off as we finished walking off the green.
Tee boxes were in very poor condition. It’s amazing how many divots are on them especially the par fours and fives. You can understand the par threes but if your putting them on par fours and fives you might want to play from the tips or more likely move up one or two tee boxes.
Course used to be in a lot better shape but looks like it is getting overplayed and very few people are repairing divots and ball marks. It’s a pity as we usually enjoy playing here but will give it a rest for awhile
good shape
The course was in great shape for fall golf. I would say the only complaint would be stopped
in the clubhouse at the turn around 1:30-2 for a burger/hotdog and nothing was ready. besides that good day
Great links golf
First time playing this course and it was a blast. Greens were actually in great condition, just make sure to fix your pitch marks to keep them that way. Super wet due to significant rain the night before but that’s to be expected. The teaching pro, Dick, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the course and gave some great advice. Got stormed out and couldn’t finish the last two holes, but otherwise a great experience. Will definitely be back, one of my new favorites in the north Atlanta area.
Always fun
Play here with friends and solo with strangers and always a good time. Staff is courteous and friendly and course is in good shape. Greens have been running quick, which is a bonus! Fix your ball marks people! It's our duty as players to keep our playground fun.
Great courses for the money
I play here often. It’s a good course for the money, always in good shape. Not too difficult.
I like this course
Great course, each hole is challenging in its own way. Noticed this last time that they cut back some brush that had grown tall, it made for better play. The course could use a few more amenities such as toilets on the back nine and front nine, and maybe some rain covers for the clubs on the carts. Great course, fun to play, reasonably priced might become a member just for the free range balls. And that’s all I got to say about that.
