About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Great course with great rates but don’t arrive in a hurry.
I really enjoyed the course layout and the course is in good shape for early March but after a 3 hour front nine and two foursomes backed up in front of us on hole 10 I packed it up and called it a day. The group in front of us was dreadfully slow and there was no Marshall in sight to do anything about it. I’d like to play this course again and see the back nine but will try a weekday next time.
Great place to play !
Great no nonsense golf course. Can’t beat the price. Despite being full, pace of play is good. Hamburgers and hotdogs in the clubhouse. Full equipment in golf shop if needed.
Still like this course
Interesting and sometimes challenging layout. In good condition despite dormant fairways. Pace of play was unusually good.
Great Value for the $$$
I always enjoy this course. Just the right amount of challenge for my game. I didn’t like it the first time there but now I’ve learned where to avoid it’s very enjoyable. I never feel rushed there. Play from the tee that fits your game.
Cold day
Not a bad day on the golf course. The course is in good condition for this time of the year some of the tea boxes still need some work. The greens are a little bumpy and hard but that’s to be expected with the temperature we’ve been having. The pace of play was fine until we got behind a threesome who held us up for about six holes. Finally just had to skip a hole to get ahead of them otherwise it would’ve been 4 1/2 or five hour round..Like every other course it needs a Marshall to keep an eye on things as alot of people don’t seem to have good golf etiquette.
Cold and Windy but still fun
A cold and windy day at Callahan . Course in reasonably good shape given recent wet and cold conditions. Staff helpful and enjoyed the round . A bit of slow play but that happens sometimes when you go off as a single.
Love Winter Golf
Had the opportunity to get out to play a round at Callahan’s this week. Course was in good shape and the greens were rolling fast and true .
Callahan’s is a fun golf course with a challenging layout…always enjoy the back nine layout .
Play was a bit slow today as the group in front of us wasn’t playing ready golf on the front nine. Some holdups also as the grounds crew was moving pin positions and cutting the greens
Would suggest that Callahan’s establish winter tees to allow the blue tee boxes to recovery prior to Spring
Overall had a good round , enjoyed our foursome and finished with birdie par birdie birdie and par :)
Would recommend Callahan’s
