About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Exceptional clean.
This was my first time playing Callahans , and from the time I arrived thru our round and departure I could not have felt more welcomed by the staff. To enjoy my time at their faculty
In addition to the the great staff it is very apparent the level of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the golf course

The Walmart of golf courses
No polite staff here, course Marshall wants 5 minute home play, and tee boxes look like bare Georgia clay but what do you expect for $28?

Great weather , course busy but pace of play maintained well . Course in good shape couple tough tee boxes but otherwise good especially fairways
Interesting layout
Pretty good layout with some challenging holes and shot selections. A few of the tee boxes are rough with little or no turf. Greens were in good shape overall. Would definitely play again. Good value.
Challenging Course - Bring More Balls
It is a relatively long course. I liked the rolling topo. The greens are well taken care of. I hated the rough and OOB areas. Really tall grass and the leaves this time of year didn’t help. You’re going to lose balls. But sand was there as well as decent water hazards. If it’s a windy day you will feel it.
Worth the money
It’s a nice course for the money. Relatively new carts. Wide open fairways.
quick round on way to mountains
Found this on the map and fit our travel schedule. Easy access of 575. Enjoyable day, course in good condition greens rolled great layout OK but fun. Tee boxes need some work. Price was good. Recommend for a nice casual round.
Good
4.5 hr round , besides a couple rough tee boxes course was in good shape. I like the back , good holes to attack on from the blue.
