About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Golfer Reviews
Garbage
Save your time and money and go somewhere else. The course is in poor shape than the starting Marshall acted like he was opening the gates at Pinehurst. His Mossyoak camouflage, gas station cigar, and bluejeans set the tone for what this course is about. They ran out of golf carts mid morning and had 15 to 20 golfers lined up at the start just waiting on a cart. Maybe they’ll use my green fee to buy some more carts or maybe even just a little bit of class.
Great course and value
I’ve played Callahan many many times. Not sure if they’ve hired new staff, but the course and greens are in fantastic shape. It’s usually pretty solid, but today was impressive. The staff was great as always, very friendly and helpful. Keep it up guys. My son and I had a great time at your course today.
Nice course
They need to start using Marshalls again to speed up the pace of play. Got behind a foursome today that had been watching to much golf on tv and they thought they had to act like the pros and stalk the greens etc.
Found a New Course
I caught an amazing deal on GolfNow. I played at 12 noon and got paired with 3 locals. They were nice,, friendly and gave advice on where to hit it. Thank you Greg,,Greg, and Gary for a fantastic round. Course layout was excellent for average player (from the white tees) and will for sure be back to play again.
Great Golf Course
Enjoyed playing again. Young players are somewhat slow, but they were polite.
Get your tee markers back in line!
I've played this course many times, and the last 2 times the blue tee markers have been pretty much back on the tips. This makes the course play 400 - 500yds longer than it should. Playing the whites is way too short, so effectively the course has almost a 1000yd gap between tees. This is ridiculous! Course conditions overall were very good, greens rolled true, but if the tees don't offer a fair yardage for my game, I'll be finding other courses to play.
Good times
Course in good condition and the grounds keepers should be proud of all the work they have done around the course. What a great improvement.
Not a fan of the black and red flag sticks.wish they would use red white and blue to let you know the location of the hole or tell you pin placement at the clubhouse.
Greens were remarkable
Greens were remarkable...best I've seen on this course in many years. Pace of play was excellent, their were two in my party and we seldom had to wait!
