About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

A day in the wind.
Greens improved from our last visit. Fairways in pretty good shape for this time of year.
Fun Day
First time playing Callahan. Weekend away with the boys and we chose callahan based on price. The pro shop and grill staff were super friendly. A big shout out to the starter who had us in stitches with his banter and humor. Course was pristine with some amazing views. Loved the layout. Highly recommend.
Just awesome
Great layout and in great shape. As a former PGA dude. It does not play to its stated lenght. Well over. I would most Definitely play again. F&B is less desirable. So bring your lunch.
Excellent conditions
I read several reviews before I played and decided to make the 50 min trek.
North Georgia mountain farm turned into a well kept golf course.
The fairways and greens were some of the best I have played on lately and I play 1-2 a week.
I was suspect of the layout being that it was on farmland.
To my surprise, the layout was much better than suspected. I paired up on the 5th hole with a nice guy who gave me some pointers which were very helpful.
The fairways had decent roll and opened up more than they appeared from the tee box.
The greens ran fairly true with decent speed. The breaks were subtle like you would find from a high caliber country club.
Great course and will definitely go back.

Pleasantly surprised - god value, nice track!
Obviously, favorable tee times have been hard to come by this year so my group has started venturing off the beaten path. Although this place as been open more than a decade, first time we've played it. Different kind of track for around here (Georgia). Good overall conditions, nice range (no mats!). Will definitely return.
course is in good shape greens are fast. will be back to play it again.
