Echelon Golf Club

I was in town from Houston for a wedding and was looking for something to play that would showcase the area. First tee times available were 1:30, but a call and a “pretty-please” later and I had a 9:30- plenty early to make the wedding! Incredible experience from the staff on making that happen.

If you are anywhere close, you have to play this course! Easily the best conditioned Bermuda course I’ve ever played. The bent grass greens were a great touch and unexpected. The layout was a challenge to say the least, but my understanding is the course was built to test a division 1 golfer but after what felt like a whoopin’ I ended up a little over a stroke over my card average, so it was definitely playable. Very hilly and a true test on every level. Also great views especially if you aren’t a local. I just can’t say enough good about the course or my experience. Soft, receptive greens, which I like.

Had lunch afterwards, food was great and the bartender even recommended a great local beer after asking me what I drank in Texas. I’ve played some good ones and I’d put this with any of them. I have no idea when I’ll be back, but I’ll play this one again!

Course is in phenomenal shape, especially given the heat and lack of rain we’ve had. Greens have recovered well from aeration and will be lightening fast and rolling perfectly once they are cut down a little shorter.

Best course I’ve played in a while, will be back soon!

I had a total blast playing this course!

It was the first time for me and some fellow LEO's and we just couldn't help to constantly admire the beauty, the conditions, the demands of the course, and the friendly staff.

We do appreciate very much the consideration to our agency so we can play this well maintained course for an affordable price.

Very challenging and undulating.

First-time here, will know where to place the ball next time (hint - stay in the fairways - no kidding right? but here off the fairway can be very penal). Greens had been punched and top dressed a few weeks ago and therefore were left a little shaggy, slow, but rolled true - should be awesome in the fall. Tees and fairways are fantastic!

Course was in great shape but greens could and should be faster. Pace of play was very good. Friendly staff.

Played Echelon again this morning. Beautiful day on a geatgurse, probably one of the best public courses in Georgia. I was first off, played as a single and finished in 2 hours. Course is challenging and it in great shape..

Love this place. Always well maintained, challenging layout & great value for the money.

Bit of a drive from NorthEast Cobb. Bag drop guy did not speak except for "thanks" for the tip I gave him. Other than that a nice layout in good condition. Greens were only slightly slow from sanding but still rolled true. Cart was missing a green quadrant layout sheet, and few yardages available on sprinkler heads. Little development, few houses and rolling terrain. Pleasant experience. About $40 through GolfNow.

A very unique course with a very conventional and fun front 9 and very challenging back 9 with some extreme elevations. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. The course was in beautiful condition with the greens almost recovered from a recent aeration. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!!

Although the bent grass greens were lightly sanded they were fast and true. The course played tough from the gold tees but was very interesting and was in great shape. The fairways and tee boxes were perfect. It's one of the best I've played in Georgia.
