Manatee Golf Course

Booked a late morning, weekend round for two. Showed up early expecting to hit some balls but were given the option to tee off early so we elected to head right out. Staff members Terri (inside) & Bill (outside/carts) were both friendly and accommodating.

As to the course itself: Greens were a bit slower than expected but rolled true. Some greens appeared to have been punched and saned within the past several weeks & thus should improve soon. Fairways did have a number of thin spots, but were all playable. Many tee boxes are in poor condition, to a point where we actually slipped several times.

Even stating the above, we still enjoyed the course and the round and look forward to making a return trip to Manatee County Golf Course in the near future.

Price was right due to off season. Course in good shape

Great price for a good course. Great for a family vacation outing.

Greens were punched recently so putting is a challenge. Fairway were in good shape. Every tee box on the course was nothing but weeds and dirt. I hope the new management company invest to bring tee boxes back as we are finally getting some much needed rain.

Overall grass looks horrible…greens and tee boxes in bad shape…starter was very rude

The tee boxes were nothing but sand and weeds. Someone left a review that the greens were good but they had just been aerated the day that we went. There were no signs and no indication that the greens were aerated so we had no idea until we started. The fairways weren’t bad. Some of the bunkers were wet but that is just from all the rain. Def not more than a $40 round. No place to download pics of the tee boxes on here

I like the course, it's very fair for the average golfer with a few challenging holes. We are seniors and played the gold tees, I'm sure like all courses it's much harder from the back tees.

Great check in staff! Tee boxes are horrible, Very little grass and sandy/ many are crowned!!!

Fairways are decent! Bunkers have improved but not real sand. Glad Pope isn’t running the course anymore and hopefully the new management will take better care of the course!

Overall the course is in fair shape tee box need help but green are good shape but for the value it’s great. Great staff

The course was in good condition, with some bare spots through the green. The greens were real grainy, so you need to judge the speed and break really well. The round was 4 hours on a Tuesday afternoon.

Over all the course was good for the $$ people say they smell the treatment plant we didn’t I would play this again

Had an early tee time so pace of play was not an issue. Tee boxes are atrocious but the rest of the course looks pretty good considering the drought. I play 2 or 3 rounds a week in the Bradenton/Sarasota area and these are the best greens in Manatee County right now.
