Manatee Golf Course

Tee times are too close together. 7 minutes. Waiting started on second shots after the first tee. Then continued the entire round. 4 groups on par 5's. 3- 4 on par 4's and backed up. On all 3's. No Ranger moving people along like the warning sign reads at the first tee. All facilities closed when we finished. 3-4 groups passed us on 16,, 17and 18 and quit. Sewage treatment plant smell back nine. Greens in great shape.

For early in year course was in very good confition

I have contacted Bryan Bowers about being able to play only 9 holes because of the rain conditions on Wed January 10. I had a 8:31 AM tee time. We were only able to play 9 holes because of the heavy rain.

I was told to contact Bryan in order to receive rain check for to back nine holes.

I have contacted him andI have not heard from him. Is there something else that con be done. I booked the round on Golf Now.

I played here last year for $45 which was a nice value. This year…$70!!! It was $85 in the morning! It’s a decent course but certainly not worth that money. Greed I guess.

We enjoyed playing with another couple but we have never had that experience before so it was very challenging. Cart path only made the pace of play very slow. The rangers, P.J. and Ted were very friendly and polite. The gentleman in the Pro Shop was also friendly and helpful. Sophia in the snack bar is a pleasant hard working lady. Our hot dogs and chili were delicious.

Found myself with extra time around 3pm and figured I'd find a course to play 18. Other courses in the area had 9 holes for 20 on a twilight, this course still had 18 holes as an option at 40. I booked for a 427pm and got there at 330pm. When I got there I found out that carts had to be back at 545 regardless. They sent me out at 345, I fit 9 in before cart return. In hindsight, I probably should have paid half the price to play 9 elsewhere. Course was fun, but not 40 for 9 holes fun.

I played Manatee last year (2023) and looked forward to playing it again this season. It didn't disappoint. Aside from a few beat-up tee boxes, the fairways and the greens were in great shape. As a single golfer, I got teamed up with a 3-some who were familiar with the course and fun to play with. Pace of play was excellent...we never had to wait to hit a shot and were never pressed from behind. Manatee is not a difficult course, but it does present enough challenges to make it interesting. I wish I had played better, but I'll get um next time.
