Manatee Golf Course

Hadn’t played this course in a few years and, despite mixed reviews, decided to give it another try. Played late morning weekend round as a single paired with a twosome. Was greeted by Terri in clubhouse, who was friendly and sent me right out. Although driving range was packed, course was not crowded and bordered on being almost empty. Finished in 4 hrs., 15 mins. playing at our own pace. Tees were a bit shaggy but fairways, greens and bunkers were in decent shape. A few greens did have small sand patches (to repair damage) and all greens were slower than what I’m used to. However, the greens rolled true and held even long iron and fairway wood shots. Overall this was a very positive experience and I’d welcome playing this course again soon.

Everyone in my foursome was impressed with the course today. The greens were rolling well and we played in less than 4 hours. We all agreed we would play again.

Enjoy this course a lot but there was such a backup that it made for a tough day. People do not know how to more at a good place. To take 3 practice shots for each shot played isn’t right.

There was a Marshall going around but he didn’t speak to anyone.

Course was in good condition, however the pace of play was very slow. We had to wait on every tee box and most fairways..Therre appeared to be a ranger on the course but he didn't improve pace of play.

Course was in good shape in general; greens were a bit on the slow side but they were freshly cut and smooth. Couse has a nice lay out and fairways were nice with the over seeding growing nicely!

Only disappointment is we were caught in heavy rain and had to stop our round after the course was shut down for the rest of the day! The staff was very plaisant & extremely helpful. Golf Now gave us a full refund and can’t wait to play the course again next week.
