About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Greens and Fairways were great
It was nice to play on green dairways and nicely cut greens. Made the round enjoyable and challenging.
Excellent Conditions
Had a great round at Bartram Trail with my wife. Course was in perfect shape greens were fast and true. My wife felt comfortable with her tee boxes and length. Pace of play was great. Very nice layout of holes and hazards make it challenging but fair.
Great course
Loved this course it is fun and challenging provides a great place to test your game a lot of go for it or lay up opportunities. The greens are fast and big so give you a great target but put it close because these greens are tough would recommend this place to anyone. One of the best courses around .

Amazing large, smooth greens
Very fun course with very large challenging greens. Fairways are wide, and the grass was near perfect. Conservation areas make interesting twists to the club selection.

The course is always in great shape. The pace of play is about 4hrs with a foursome.

Nice Track 5-par 5s, 5-par 3s
very nice course, especially for the price, found out later the price was based on the aerated greens and sand layer. Would imagine the greens are pretty fast when full and a fresh cut. Fairways and bunkers were in great shape, layout was unusual 5 - par 5s and 5 - par 3s, (3 on the front, 2 on the back) could get used to that very quickly. Not long but very hilly and a few holes require target golf management.... Enjoyed it, will be back for sure.

Nice course, must play. All conditions good today except the greens have been recently verticut and sanded. Greens still putted OK and very quick down hill.

Signed up to play on my own
I like playing Bartram Trail & have done so several times. I like to play by myself or with a friend. However, this time I was told I had to go with a foursome, none of whom I knew nor had any of them ever met before & had also preferred to play alone, instead of being allowed to play by myself. Additionally, even though Golf Now included my golf cart in the price, I had to pay an extra fee because my wife came along just to ride & watch me play. I was disappointed as this is usually not a problem. We have done this a few times, and it has never been a problem.
Hi "danmoore13" thanks for your review. All morning tee times booked online or through the Golf Shop are always paired up with other guests. Unless the course is extremely slow we do not allow singles to go out by themselves as they would be stuck in between threesomes and foursomes’ making your round slower than it needs to be. We also do not allow singles to tee off alone due to our maintenance schedule in the morning. We try and give our maintenance staff the appropriate amount of time to cut the greens and fairway before golfers catch up to them. The golf cart is included for paying golfers, on this particular day there were 3 carts out versus the normal 2 carts per group which is why the additional fee was charged for your wife. Best Greens in Augusta
Bartram trail is a fun golf course in great condition and features the best greens in the CSRA. It is conveniently located in Columbia County and reasonably priced. The club house needs work. The practice facilities always have balls in the chipping and putting green and usually enough on the range to warm up. Would love to see new balls on the range, free range balls with a round, and more water and cleaning stations around the practice facilities. Also benches at the range are needed. Overall I love the course, it is in great condition and the greens are super fast and true.

For this time of the year this is hands-down the best course to play. The fairways are lush and green and the putting service will keep you honest all day.

The Super Intendent
A golf course, the country club, food and beverage are great. Phenomenal to be honest. But all these amenities are only as good as the superintendent and his staff. Jeff Lloyd is a true pro. His signature hard work shows everywhere.

Best Golf in the Augusta Area forthe Money
This is a great course. Challenging holes and the main defense is the greens - you need to know how to read fast subtle breaks. I have enjoyed playing this course. The staff is the best in the area especially Matt. He is always looking out for the players and their needs. Ask for him when you go in.
Robbie and Zach are great too. Robbie the resident pro is a talented instructor and he can fix what ails ya.. Also cannot fail to mention the superintendent Jeff and his crew keep the course in top shape. It is the areas must play course.
Great Course
I love playing Bartram Trail whenever I am in Augusta, and this Father's Day weekend was no exception. The greens had been aerated recently and there are several old filled in bunkers that are like golf ball ski-jumps if you get stuck in one, hence the 3 on condition. Several of the holes slope quite a bit to the left or right and you want to play the high side on them.
Even though we were told it was busy, and didn't tee of for nearly 15 minutes after our time, pace of play for all 18 holes was right at 4 hours for the 4-some I was in, and we were all over 100 strokes.

Course is in great shape from tees to greens right now. Great golfnow deal. Very nice mix of holes. Greens fantastic and slick. I always enjoy playing this course.
