Bartram Trail Golf Club
About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Good, fair challenge
After a three year hiatus from golf I decided to get back into the sport. This was my second full round and first at a "good" course. I was very pleased with the experience, and the course played as well as I did. There are alot of areas that are out of bounds but easily avoidable if you have a fair amount of skill. Can't wait to play here again.
Fun to play
Been several years since playing. Several bunkers have covered with grass which will help with pace of play. Greens and fairways in great shape.
Bartram trail
Always have a good time at Bartram, take my out of town friends there and it's always enjoyable. Thanks to the staff there, first class guys.

What a deal!!!
Let me start off by saying that if you are like me, golfing with friends and hitting from the blues and blacks and actually score decently then this course is great for you. Teeboxes consistently stay clean cut and well cared for. There are some tee boxes that have a lot of divots, but what par3 doesn't? Playing from the blacks on this course really rewards aggressive play, as long as your able to get the ball 275 yards or so off the tee. Greens are well kept and run true. Pace of play was a little sluggish at the beginning because we had 2 foursomes in front of us but once they teed off and get on the green we never waited on them again. Club staff is super friendly and the head pro Robby, is truly a genuine guy. Normal rates at Bartram aren't too bad, kind of what you would expect for a decent round of golf and man is it worth it. Occasionally you can catch a really great deal with the GolfNow app. If you're a chronic slicer like I was a year ago this is going to be one of the most challenging courses you've ever played.
Great Weather On A Great Course
The course continues to be in exceptional shape. A few of the tee boxes have little or no grass which takes away from an otherwise awesome golf course. Had a barbeque sandwich fron the snack bar which really really super good. Management needs to do something about the young man in the pro shop with the attitude named Matt. Each and everytime visiting the course it is a shame one has the deal with this person. He is rude and short in dealings with the public on a routine basis. If he doesn't like his job maybe he should work somewhere else instead of sharing his attitude with patrons.
Great well kept course
As always course in great shape. No problems at all with booking. As a twosome played 18 in a little over 3 hours.
Nice course but started an outing in front of us
Really enjoyed the course but grasses need hot days/warm nights to spring to life. Very fun layout!
Nor pleased with the fact that I paid top dollar to book the first tee time (on a Saturday with the time, supposedly for fast play, and that they started a shotgun outing on the back nine bringing a fast round to and screaching halt. Didn't find out an outing was going off the back until arriving at the course and had no other playing options. I only played nine holes but paid for 18. While the Assistant Pro gave me a rain check, it's not very helpful in that I live over a thousand miles away from this course. Bottom line, felt he should have given a partial cash refund due to their starting the outing in front of me.
Batram Trail GC
Course I play regulary. Layout could be tricky for first time player. Conditions very good today, tees, fairways growing in, chipping areas fully grassed, bunkers consistant, greens mini airated not affecting putting. Greens very fast can be difficult to control your speed, only a few three putts today due to trying to force the line on downhillers and they really ran out. Good thing if you get the proper line the putts roll out into the hole. Good course.
MUST PLAY COURSE!!!
First time playing Bartram Trail and I LOVED it! I am definitely going to playing there a lot more often. I would recommend this course to anyone. GREAT SAVINGS through the GOLF NOW APP!!!
Course Is Taking Shape
Played here through the winter and it is nice to see everything greening up. The course is probably in the best shape I've ever seen it in. There was nice grass on the driving range to hit off of and they had new range balls. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in exceptional condition. The course has great width on fairways and challenges golfers but is fair. This is my favorite course for the money in the Augusta area.
Great Greens
Good condition. Great greens. Fast and true. May be a little fast for higher handicapper or senior. 5 par 5s and 5 par 3s.
very nice
great course if you get the golf now rate. they wanted $110 for greens fees. i wouldnt pay that for this course. i paid $25. should be a $60 course. greens were great. fast and true
Good Value During Masters Week
Played the course on the Monday before The Masters. Other courses in the area were charging twice as much. The staff was friendly and the course was in great condition. Pace of play was excellent. Though the course is 15 or so minutes outside of Augusta, it was worth the drive. I will definitely go back next time I am in the area.
Good option in Augusta
Masters week most courses in Augusta set their rates really high. After hanging out at the Masters Sunday am we wanted to squeeze in a round. We paid more but it was worth it compared to the municipal course in town. The layout was fun and the greens were good. I don't know if I'd pay that much to play here at 3 pm on a Sunday but considering what week it was I cant complain.
Fun course!
We had a blast playing this course!
Will definitely recommend this course to all who'd like to play a course with 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's.
Bartram Trail
Play here once a month, still in semi winter conditions. Tees pretty beat up on a few holes especially the par threes, fairways thin, bunkers good, greens good, rolling smooth and pretty quick. Short putts seemed to break a little more than expected. Fun course to play.
Golfnow price hike
I played over 40 rounds last year through GN and this year they jacked the price almost 25%. Not such a deal anymore.
Bartram's is OK, keeping in mind it is still in the dormant stage. It is a fun course to play and gives the average golfer a chance at posting a good score. The elevation changes are nice.
Rain soaked but playable
Played after a lot of rain during the week. Not my favorite time to play when wet but made it through 18. Greens were great, fairways and tee boxes at a course of this caliber need over seeding for winter play. Not much to hit off when wet. Cart path only as if you hadn't already assumed.
Ok for the price
If I had paid full price, which was $57. I would have been very disappointed. At the golfnow price of $30, it was OK. There was a frost delay that delayed our start by 30 minutes, but that could not be helped. What could have been managed better was the pace of play. There were two groups ahead of us that backed up the entire course. We called the pro shop at number 10, but they never sent anyone to investigate. We finally had to skip two holes so we could finish. There was no one on the course after number 14.
Great layout and has black tees! Staff is a little snobby this time around.
Good layout and lots of hills with elevated and de-elevated tees. Fairways are little disappointing, soggy in a lot of areas (rained three days prior seemed like it would have dried) and a little poor on condition due to winter mostly. Greens are in the upside of condition compared to other courses this time of year. Overall had a great time and good game. Would recommend.
