Bartram Trail Golf Club
About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

players friendly course
This is my home course the layout is beautiful and the fairways are wide the greens are superb
Currently in great shape
Played this course for years...best shape I've ever seen it in. And the deal we got was great!
Bartram in July
Played this course many times since it opened...seen a lot of improvements over time. Greens are in excellent shape.
7 July 14
Course and greens in outstanding condition. Greens lightning fast with true roll. Highly recommend!
Great Course
My favorite course in Augusta!
I was on a business trip from Orlando, Fl. I played the day before on a different course that is near Augusta National and calls itself the best course in the area.
As it turns out...Bartram is a far nicer course with a much friendlier and more helpful staff. The course is breathtaking with wonderful terrain challenges that make sense and demand aforethought.
You'll like this one.
Airated Greens
Overall course is great but greens recenlty airated. Basically putting is not good. Should be good again a a couple weeks. Overall for the price still is an OK deal as all the other courses in the area are in the same shape.
Aerifying greens
I feel it should be a way to find out if they are aerifying the greens before you pay then get there and they are just starting.
No Cart Keys / Staff Ineffectiveness
This review is about this particular visit to the golf course. Usually it is a pleasant experience but this time the staff, a fairly young man with blonde hair, was terrible. Not only did he not have keys for the carts, he suggested that I walk to the cart shed to get a cart. I waited 20 minutes for a cart while he made no apologies for the inconvenience. He was quite dry about the matter all together. A gentleman came to purchase range balls and he went out of his way to thank him for his patience when he had not waited at all. When I finally got a key he still made no apology or even offerred some type of business gratitude for the wait or inconvenience.
Challenging course
A challenging course from any tees. Overall good fairways and greens. A course that will test your game. Staff is very friendly and head pro Robby Watson can help anyone's game.
Conditions are some of the best in town
The greens are great right now. Golfnow and the course worked together to get me a refund since I got rained out. I'll definitely be back though.
Great course
Outstanding golf course, the staff takes great care of the course. Looking forward to traveling there again soon.
Great day.
Course is in excellent condition. Tee to Green great. Greens large, rolled quick and smooth. I've played this course multiple times and can't recall better conditions.
Great Layout
I would recommend this course for the playability and care that goes in to the upkeep. One of the best in Augusta.
Great course in great shape.
Played on 4/18 in a fairly steady rain the whole time. Even still, it was a very enjoyable experience. The course was in great shape, especially considering the weather. Only down side was the guy working the pro shop seemed like he had definitely had better days and $6.50 for a hotdog, chips and water is a bit pricey to me. That said, I'll definitely be back!
Good playable golf course
A fun course with 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's ... Course was in excellent condition with fast greens and good fairways. Definitely some holes where local knowledge is an asset. A number of holes with blind shots. Clubhouse is small and really only good for snacks between 9's. Prices raised for Masters week.
First timer
Went on line at 8:30 and obtained a 11:45 time.
A nice track with a lot of thought, a few blind shots and "Risk-Reward" opportunities.
The greens were in nice condition and ran true and the very wide fairways were about average for mid March in Augusta..
Ok-For now.
The weather was great. The course hasn't greened up yet since it is just early March. Greens & Tees were green but fairways are still brown & dead. Hard to hit off them right now. We have had a couple of heavy showers move through our area so there were some soggy areas & some pools in the sand traps. No doubt the conditions will improve as the grass gets green & the course dries out. This was my 2nd time here & I enjoyed playing. Friendly staff.
