Bartram Trail Golf Club
About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

review bartram tral golf course evans ga
walked into pro shop gave my tee time and name given cart key then out to 1st tee . really a painless experience. this is a great course for the value. my son told me about golf now. a month ago. since then golf now is the only why I go. what a savings for this army retiree. I will recommend golf now to a select group of friends but not too many. gotta save some tee times for myself.lol
This course has great.
Verry Verry Good...................................................................................
very fast greens
I played this course many times in the past, and it's always in good shape.when i played this saturday it was in the best shape ive ever seen it.the greens were lightning fast.I was very impressed.
Challenging and yet very satisfying
Good course for all levels. there si something for everyone. Wide fairways and good opportunities, even if you miss the fairway.
First time here!
We were new to this course but I have heard great things. The tee boxes and fairways were well maintained. The cart track/ route however was somewhat in need of repair. There are several potholes that are partially filled with loose gravel.
Over all. We had a nice time. Very beautiful area and very challeging golf course! We will be back!
The staff is very friendly and they keep the grounds maintained regardless of weather.
Josh, part of the staff, knows folks on a first name basis! They always greet you in the door and even come by and pick up buckets at the range so you don't have to. I like the fact that it was a private course now open to public. Feels like I get the best of Augusta. It's a great place to challenge yourself. Shot my PB there recently!
Interesting features and challenges; greens punched recently.
Some very interesting holes and tough challenges from the Blue Tees.. Greens were recently aerated and sanded making putting a bit inconsistent. Should have been made aware of this beforehand, but can't expect GolfNow to have that information. The pro shop certainly knew when we checked in. Nonetheless, the greens will improve over the next week or so to be certain. I did get the sense that the pro shop staff wasn't pleased with the discount (best value).
Play was very slow for a Monday as our two-some waited on every tee and fairway shot from the 1st to the 18th.
Aerated Greens - But still playable
Played the course about 2 weeks after the greens had been aerated, but the course still played well. Fairways and tees were in great shape. Great course in the CSRA for the money.
Good course as long as the weather is not too hot
As long as there are no slow players taking thier time, it is possible to play a full round in close to three hours.
awesome
by far one of the best courses to play in the Augusta Georgia area.
Great Course
I've played this course multiple times and enjoy it. I've had issues in the past with the Pro Shop being less than friendly, but on my last visit (yesterday), I actually received great customer service. I didn't catch the guy's name, but he is a teacher at Riverside Middle school and was very friendly. The course was in great shape and is very well maintained for a public course.
great price, great course
compared to other courses at this price, this one is VERY nice. Great challenging course with a lot of water and dog legs. Tucked in a beautiful neighborhood doesn't hurt either! Definitely worth the money
Tees, fairways, and greens are great.
This course could draw me, and others, in as a member if they would just spend some money on the bare spots around the course...things that have nothing to do with the fairway or greens as they were great. Lack of attention to detail on the little things kept me from giving it a 5 star rating when comparing it to other courses in Augusta. For example, there was a bare wooden post with the #2 on the second hole but nothing describing that hole. That was was e case on several holes. For a little money, the course be fixed to look really nice...and just as good as any other course in the area. Right now it has nice fairways and greens...that is it.
Good course
Course in good shape despite all the rain. Nice variety of holes and pace of play was good. For a novice course is challenging.
Don't go if it's path only
We've had a lot of rain but hadn't for 2 days. BUT this very hilly course was cart path only and shouldn't have been. A couple holes yes but not the entire course. Those of us who aren't 25 and in perfect shape can't make it. One friend left after 6. I would have finished, although it was tough, but my driving partner needed to leave after 14. That on has NEVER quit a round. I picked up ad 40yo man at 16 cause he couldn't finish. First for him, too. I even asked if those of us with physical problems could use our discretion and was told no. I would never play there cart only. It was a shame because it's not cheap and I was very much looking forward to it.
Very tough with lots of dangers
tough, tight, fun, challing, lots of dangers to get your ball. I'm a 10 handicap and i shot 18 over and i played good. I thaught.7
Wonderful layout, used all the clubs in my bag.
Even after two weeks of rain, the course was not soggy. Water drainage kept the course from being soggy. Always a joy to play this course.
The course has a very nice layout that can be challenging.
The course is an excellent layout and it is well maintained. I played alone and finished the round in 2 1/2 hours. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
Nice course
This is a very nice course & in great condition right now due to all the rain here lately. With the Golfnow discount this course is an excellent value.
This course has character.
Great course. Not long but makes up for it in difficulty. For a "young" course it is well developed.
