Bartram Trail Golf Club
About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Great Golf!
The course is really just amazing.. gotta play to one side or the other on most holes as your ball will run off and get lost if your not careful. super fun and well maintained course.
Golf carts are extremely controlled and could use some remapping of the allowed zones and speeds.
Staff was pretentious and not very friendly or welcoming.
nice course
course was in great shape and pace of play was fantastic
Never Better
Tee to green, this course is in great shape. We rode in golf carts because walking this course is a SIGNIFICANT workout; more so if the temps are in the 90s. Drinking water is available around the course. The practice putting green is in great shape. The driving range and hodge-podge of various range balls are average at best; irons are restricted to mats only.
Challenging course
Overall, it has some good holes and some difficult holes. Considering the time of year (mid-March) the course was in very good shape. A couple of holes were cart path only.
No rain check for slow play
Pro shop wouldn’t give a rain check for the back 9 even though it took 2:30 to play the front. I got paired with three others who were painfully slow. Pro shop punted to GolfNow which only refunds if inclement weather closes the course. Plus traffic to and from I-20 is brutal. They are charging a laughably high fee of $175 for Mastees Week. Save your money.
Good Times at Bartram Trail
Hats off to the superintendent and grounds crew! The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling nicely. The carts have a built in radio which is a nice feature and the only place in town I’ve seen anything like that. Pace of play was average but still managed a 4 hour round despite several groups getting backed up towards the end. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to getting back out to Bartram
Fun and challenging
Probably the best public course in Augusta….always fun and challenging….it giveth and taketh away but always fair
Makes no sense
There was no sense in getting called out for my shorts. I was not wearing blue jeans and was dressed appropriately. The desk guy called me out because I was wearing shorts that looked like denim. The guy acted like he was king of the course and was rude. I play there a lot but will reconsider this venue in the future.
Price went up for military
Poor drainage on at least 7 holes cart path only and not that much rain.
Handicapped and had to walk a lot
Excellent course
Very challenging layout. Tons of fun for my brother and I.
Great greens but soggy fairways
Overall this is my favorite in the CSRA. It has the best greens in the area. Not uncontrollably fast and undulating like Forest Hills. Dormant fairways were frustrating. In fairness, only one course in the area actually overseeds the fairways so you’re left with soggy fairways with little to no grass. I also can’t stand the 9th hole. The only line is straight at the fairway bunker. Anything left risks not carrying the ravine and shots to the right often roll into the woods. Assuming you actually find the fairway you have to carry it 200+ just to make the 2nd fairway. Just a poorly designed hole for a par 5. Pro shop staff can be a little buggy but love the clubhouse and bar staff.
