About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Great course, great shape, great people. My second time playing and it was funner than the first time. I will definitely be back for round 3.
Dissatisfied
The only issue I had was after nine holes we stopped off at the clubhouse for some drinks and food. By the time we paid we were being rushed back out as if starting behind someone is a felony. Then when we got down to Tee 10 some old guy wants to get mouthy and start talking past his true capabilities. I paid my money like everyone else. I just want to golf and have a good time. Stop acting like this is a PGA tournament or a private club. It’s golf, let me just have fun.

Nice course. The only problem I have is their rates. Booked on GolfNow and the only option was for walking which would be very difficult on this course. So we booked for $25. and then they charged $20. per player for cart. This was for a late afternoon tee time of 4PM which is supposed to be at a reduced rate.
No on-course management
Tee times are called out from the pro shop via loud speaker. People go to the tee and tee off as soon as they can hit. 5 hour round of golf is normal here. Course is backed up from the start. Never again.
Course Fee doesn’t include cart
Course is pretty well maintained and has a good layout. I’ve played it multiple timesover the last 6-7yrs. Greens are often on the fast side. Pace is often on the slower side. Has had issues in the past due to having fast singles and doubles attempting to get through the course at a fast pace. This can be frustrating for both the singles and the foursomes being rushed or held up due to pairing. If you want to play as a single on the weekend be content waiting on the multiple foursomes in front of you.
For the first time in years, the Golfnow rate supposedly doesn’t include the price of a cart. idk If this because they are attempting to nickel&dime golf now people booking rates through golf now or just ill informed pro shop employees. However, If your gonna offer a weekend golf rate on Golfnow on a busier course in the area (and you have pace of play issues) then you are gonna require a cart. If you have to have a cart INLCUDE IT IN YOUR GOLFNOW RATE! Don’t advertise a cheap rate on Golfnow and then charge an additional $25 cart fee when people show up!
Furthermore, the hot deal they offer at $25 includes a cart! The normal rate without a cart online at $40 doesn’t include a cart! With the addition of the cart your talking $69 for your round. The normal rate if you’d call the clubhouse $59! DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE!

very fast greens
greens are packed and very fast, when we finished our round people were working in the club house but the doors were locked, therefore a full bladder was the problem. They were more interested in the tournament players behind us than the regular player.

Course was well prepared but got stuck behind a slow play group
Not as good as it once was...
Has went down hill in last year. Removed carts with golfnow during pandemic, not the best revenue/business move. Staff was ok but no upsale in proshop. Lack personality.
