About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Excellent course
Very challenging layout. Tons of fun for my brother and I.
Great greens but soggy fairways
Overall this is my favorite in the CSRA. It has the best greens in the area. Not uncontrollably fast and undulating like Forest Hills. Dormant fairways were frustrating. In fairness, only one course in the area actually overseeds the fairways so you’re left with soggy fairways with little to no grass. I also can’t stand the 9th hole. The only line is straight at the fairway bunker. Anything left risks not carrying the ravine and shots to the right often roll into the woods. Assuming you actually find the fairway you have to carry it 200+ just to make the 2nd fairway. Just a poorly designed hole for a par 5. Pro shop staff can be a little buggy but love the clubhouse and bar staff.
Has to be the best public in Augusta area!!!!!
Beautiful course. It is very challenging, but, not discouraging. Will definitely play here again I would recommend this course for anyone looking for a strong challenge in a beautiful setting.
value
great value moderately challenging lots of parking friendly staff
Bartram Trail
Course I play a couple times a month, conditions are good to great, Greens were perfect, very smooth and consistent, Fairways good, dormant this time of year, Tees generally good but a few par threes were pretty thin, Club Car ran good but could use a little better cleaning, overall a great golf course, nice layout.
Walkers slowing us down.
4 1/2 hours for a Monday afternoon is way too long. 2 walkers and a rider in front of us were slowing everything down
Great course with great greens
I play here about once a month. It’s right up there with Forest Hills in terms of conditioning. Greens at Bartram are quick but not as quick as FH. Probably 10 to 10.5 while FH routinely runs 11-12. Bartram has miniverde Bermuda vs. TifEqgke at FH which may be one reason why. Both courses have great GPS systems in the cart though the day I played Bartram the cart computer always have distance to the center, not to the pin. Also some pins at a Bartram were kinda wacky on 10/17, especially 3, 13, 16 and 18. Staff is friendly, especially the clubhouse. There are houses lining several fairways but I don’t find them to be offensive. Bartram does have several forced carries but is not impossible. Definitely recommend.
