Disappointed Return
So we sign up for a nice early morning tee time, show up an hour prior to hit a bucket on the range utilize the chipping area and then wonder over to the putting green before we tee off.. (plenty of time) However once we arrived we were informed the range was closed because “it was under water” it’s SWFL in the summer so we’ll give them a mulligan on that one.. So at this point we figured we would just go to the chipping area just get loose. (as much as you can chipping) lol We then we’re informed the chipping area was for “members only” and there’s a smaller area next to the green we could utilize but only if we purchased a bucket of balls to chip?? Iv played 100’s of rounds of golf at courses all over the country, never been told I had to pay for balls to chip. ITS ALWAYS INCLUDED!?!? I voiced my opinion with a snicker and then proceeded to the “Guest chipping area” WHAT A JOKE! Fairway grass was disappointingly manicured, Greens we’re slow and patchy. There was a temporary green on hole 7 that we weren’t even advised of. Moral of the story is this place thinks that it’s a prestigious country club and it’s not even close! I will not be returning nor would I ever recommend this course to anyone….

A normal round of golf and played by myself which was nice because I needed to shake the rust off Palmetto-Pine is a nice course that will challenge your game and not break your wallet Well maintained a very nice outdoor halfway house and other amenities Give it a play I’m sure you will be happy

The course is an average southwest Florida layout but charges more than some of the finer courses for this time of year.

The course does not drain well. In the summertime it rains almost everyday in South Florida. Today it as cart path only on holes 5, 7 and the entire back nine. The greens. Were healing from being punched. The house played extremely long.

nice layout, poor conditions
the rainy season has been tough on this course. It's in serious need of a major drainage project. Ownership has done a lot to improve the course, but until the drainage issue is dealt with it is almost unplayable during summer.

Members Privileges
This used to be one of my favorite home courses to play.
We played behind a group of 3 for the first 9 holes. On hole 3 the bottleneck started. There was one group in front of the group of 4 who all members.
The ranger apologized twice on the front 9 and 2 more times on the back 9 for the pace of play.
Then advised us because they are member he cannot do anything except ask them to pick the pace of play which they did not..
Too add injury to insult on hole14 or 15 they stood on the green while one of them went home. We had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes to restart playing.
The worst part is a friend whonrecwntly moved to Cape Coral I bragged about how wonderful the course and play is.
Not sure if I'll ever play there again

Great course
Nice course. Loved the layout. The course was wet due to a hurricane dumping a lot of rain the week before we played so it was cart path only. There were a couple of groups in front of us who were playing pretty slow but that can happen anywhere. Overall it was a great experience. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Nobody Home
I arrived at the course on time for my tee time. The pro shop was closed and shuttered. I had received no prior notice of the course being closed. I think that is pretty inconsiderate on the part of the management.

Improving
It’s easy to see they are making many improvements to the course and it is much better than it was 2 years ago. However, the day we played it was cart path only. A few holes were wet but not enough to shut the entire course down. There were temporary greens due to construction and no reduction to rate$: no paper in rest rooms on course, ice/water machines broken, etc. Front desk attendant was a jerk on top of it all. Should wave been warned about poorer daily course conditions.
