Fun track
The 3 nines make it interesting and the course was in fair condition the day we played mainly due to the dry winter season. It was cart path only from the rain last evening. The greens are in fair condition and roll pretty good but not quite as fast as the putting green.
I like the layout for the most part.
Good tough course. Conditioning was ok.
You had better hit it straight off the tee. I enjoyed the course. (I hit it straight today! Haha) my two friends however were less fortunate. Conditioning was ok. Pace was ok. Staff were ok. Nothing bad but not great! I’d be back. I think you get what you pay here. Which is all good.
Pleasantly surprised
I was told by another golfer that the course at Cape Royal was not in good condition but it turned out to be false. The course is in great condition, albeit a bit dry; but so are many courses in Florida this time of year and who can't use a little more rollout? The greens were quick but rolled true to form.
The staff was very friendly plus I shot a 78 so I am very happy with Caoe Royal today just like I've been in the past.
Nice for Florida
Good layout. Needs grass like most of the Florida courses. Greens are better than average. Pace of play was really good. Rather short for a low handicap but good for the average golfer. Good course for women and high handicaps. Really nice pro shop. Women that work in pro shop are very friendly. Nice merchandise choice. Fair prices. Little high for Bermuda Sands but not too bad. Nice bar with good food. Only negative was fairways need grass but that's normal for average Florida course. Reviewed by scratch golfer
The king and the prince a pretty easy at 3000 + yards
But the queen is it killer at 2900 is the hardest.
very poor conditions
The course was in terrible shape. Fairways were thin and down to dirt in spots. Greens were in horrible condition. Mixed grasses, uneven, some were even missing grass entirely in spots. Traps were dirt, not sand, and filled with debris. Very disappointing experience.
Go Anywhere Else
Terrible fairways and greens. All fairways slope to the water and even shots that are hit down the middle can end up in the water. Part of the reason for this is there is no grass on the “fairways “.
Worst golf course ever
No grass, very wet. Extremely slow play. Will never go there again.
Price increase
Have enjoyed playing here several times, however with the increase in green fees will have to golf some where else.
Outing with the Wife
Excellent course. Challenging but fair. Very fast pace (not crowded) and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended.
the course was in great shape with the greens being fairly fast........ the bunkers were well maintained .
Played Queen and King.. Like the Queen very much because it's tricky. We cannot say enough about the staff and facility. it is better value than the three other course we played, all within 25 minutes of each other. Did not eat there, so cannot comment on the food. Absolutely recommend and will play again when I'm back in Jan 2020.
