The rough is literally crabgrass. I've seen fairways that are in better shape than their greens

Nice easy course with few difficult holes that test your skill. Saw few negative reviews from a while back, but a lot must have changed. Liked the practice facilities as well.

I am impressed with the improvements to the course.. Greens are much better than they were months ago. New signage, ball washers and hole markers.

course is heading in the right direction-its nice to see work being done.the greens are much improved ;just slow and fairways are showing grass may not sound like much but compared to the last 5 years a good sign

Has lived in the area for 15 years and finally played a round here. I loved the layout of the course and how each hole was closed off to itself. First time playing, so it was a bit challenging, but loved the overall

I had stopped playing this course for the past two years because it was in such poor condition and unplayable. I decided to give it another try after reading some good reviews here, and boy, was I glad that I did. The difference was night and day from years ago. From tee to green, the conditions were near perfect, the fairways and greens were in unbelievably great condition and rolled beautifully. I was really pleasantly surprised at the transformation, and the pleasant staff, capped off a beautiful round. Special kudos to JT and Anthony at the front desk who were more than gracious in extending every courtesy. So glad to put Casselberry back on my play roster. You really can't go wrong with this course, especially considering the great rates through GolfNow. My recommendation: GO PLAY!

I played this course a lot around 4 years ago and it was pretty decent; however, I've moved away since and heard that it had gone under. I came back to town for the holidays and found a good deal for unlimited golf and decided to check it out. The course is under new ownership and they have done an excellent job. Course conditions were way better than I expected. I will be playing there again before I head home and look forward to hitting it again the next time that I'm in town.

Club house fixed up nicely, course vasely improved. Now its enjoyable to play.

About 6 months ago (May 2015) this course was in terrible condition. You couldn't tell the rough from the fairways and the greens were solid dirt. The owners of the course were waiting for the final buyout/sale to the City of Casselberry to happen and were gladly taking folks money without putting a dime into the place. Fast forward to December, the City has taken over and made vast improvements with more to come!

The greens are true and the fairways are in great condition. Tee boxes have been updated and you can see the coarse starting to come back. Currently there is some over-seeding taking place, but the condition of the course is great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that can get a good deal or just wants to have fun on a pretty quick, yet challenging, coarse.

Bring plenty of balls as you will lose plenty on the front nine with the narrow fairways and water hazards. But most of all, just have fun at a good course with a bright future.

greens in excellent shape, some spotty tees and fairways, quite a few holes very tight, no need to use a driver, course is short but still a challenge.

Back in May, 2015, I played Casselberry and it was awful. I wrote a review at that time that was not too complimentary and certainly indicated that I could NOT recommend that anyone play this course, no matter how low the price was. Having read several recent reviews, it sounded like the new management group had done some things to turn the course around, so I decided to play the course today on a Hot Deal. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. It was sort of like "night and day" compared to last spring. The greens were decent once again (with overseed) - not great but decent. Tee boxes were definitely acceptable and fairways were once again playable. Sand traps were well maintained. Casselberry is a great little practice course and I am so pleased that the new management has invested the money to turn this course around. Kudos!!!

I have played this course many times and the course has never looked better, conditions of the greens were very nice, except for the golfers that don't fix there ball marks, fairways and tee boxes were also in good shape. Hats off to the management staff, keep up the good work!

This course has come a long way from just a year ago. With the new management, you feel like you're playing at an actual golf course, not the cow pasture it previously was. Greens do tend to run slow and there are some holes that are drivable and par 5s that are reachable in 2. Great experience and a nice little hidden course.

Course reminded of an Executive course in terms of length. Conditions were just okay not much difference between fairway and rough. Course layout was odd and had to cross two streets with heavy traffic but there are a couple of interesting holes. Good course to practice short game.

The fairways and green were in fairly good shape. The fairway were good and you must manage the course or you will get into trouble. Very enjoyabls course.

We played at the twilight rate and had a three-thirty teetime. We had just enough time to get 18 in before dark. While the fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, about 70% of the greens were in terrible shape!
Almost impossible to putt because of different types of grasses on the green also some bare spots here and there!

This is an older course built over 60 years ago. It is short compare to many courses, but it is very tight on many holes. Enjoyed playing the course wondering how many famous people might have played this course years ago while vacationing at Florida.

Greens not that great. But fun course with great pace of play. Proshop was very freindly and polite.

This was the 3rd time for 2015 that I booked Casselberry with golf now for a tee time and went for some practice. Last year I had some 14 reservations and not once have I been advised or charged an "environmental fee". I felt that Gary was rude and aside from his comment that I took as negative that for my golf now tee time I was "early", I arrived about 20 minutes early to check in, etc. I don't mind paying the state the fee, but tell me up front. Course is in awful condition, greens are poor and nothing more than mowed weeds, Course of Play--EXCELLENT-why, no one there. I quit playing this course several years ago, then began using golf now to book the discount rate for some practice rounds here. I will think twice before I return again. Next time I'm wanting to practice, I'll go down the street to the driving range.

The course needs work and while I was playing there were several landscapers working. It's worth the time and money if you get a hot deal. Let's see the improvements and that will determine if paying more is worth it. Staff very nice and informative.
