Cove Cay Golf Club is located along the shores of Tampa Bay, offering scenic views and abundant wildlife. Water is a prominent feature on the golf course, coming into play on 12 holes. The course is tight with narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky dogleg holes. In addition to all of the water hazards, there are also deep bunkers lining the greensides. At 6,000 yards, it is not a long course by any means but what it lacks in length it makes up for in shot-making challenges. Thanks to its length though, it can usually be played in under four hours. The layout features a diverse set of hazards that will require the use of every club in your bag. Cove Cay Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 17th. This dramatic hole runs alongside the bay, making accuracy a necessity in order to reach the small peninsula green.

So far so close

While I applaud the improvements made….why on a Wednesday afternoon would you charge full rates in the summer in Florida 1 or 2 days after you punch and sand the greens…and NOT!!!! say a word on the phone when booking the tee time. The greens are complete crap…stay away for a few weeks until it rains and they grow back in…not adverse to playing a track that’s at least honest…if you need the money that bad…don’t disrespect the game for the dollar….your rep with locals was gaining ground…money grub off the tourist…we have 16 locals that play 3 times a week…count on us spreading the word…and we WONT BE BACK!!!!!

Beautiful Views

Several of the holes on this course have wonderful water views which is an added delight. Tree-lined fairways and water lily ponds also make it a great place to spend a day.

Great course with great views!

Pace of play was fantastic. I was never waiting and never had anyone waiting on me. Bunkers could use some work but other than that overall really nice course. Would definitely recommend!

Nice views good track

Good course. Love the hard turning layout of many of the holes. Very scenic views on back nine. Greens in good shape. Fairways fair. Bunkers not so great. Although they had 9 minutes between tee times… still was late on my tee time and pace was slow. Staff friendly facilities for practice good. Overall recommend!

Nice views, horrible condition

Staff was friendly, nice cart girl, good service, good views of the Bay, interesting lay-out. Course conditions are horrible - is not worth bucks. Green are unputtable, fairways non-existent. Dried out. Shame. Has so much potential.
