Nice layout
Was actually flooded a few weeks ago with tropical storm . Ground was still very wet. Great layout, great greens. Very picturesque. Got a deal on golf now and that made it so nice! Worth the drive from gainesville or Ocala! People very very friendly
Great Value
Got a 7:46am tee time for $10.00. Course was a little soggy, but in great shape. Got a little confused finding a tee box or two, but well maintained course at an unbeatable price = a good day :-)
Beautiful course
Course is in a great area with real Florida scenery . Greens are large, fairways in great shape. I will definitely be back
course has nice layout
need to rack sand traps our add more sand very hard in sand traps bunkers
Nice course
Would recommend this course to anyone, fairly flat, nice fairways and greens, well placed sand traps and water hazards. Would enjoy this course again, and plan on it..
The Plantation of Crystal River
I hadn't played here for at least the last 10 years, and boy has the place changed. The holes have been upgraded and renumbered since my last visit. Course conditions were excellent and the staff very friendly. We arrived about on half hour early and got to head out immediately. Green were fairly fast and it takes a good read to sink your putts. I'll be back again for sure.
Nice local course.
Course in great condition from tee to green. Greens have some bumpiness and may need to be rolled. Overall Plantation is a good test for shot makers.
What you'd expect
Some hard sand on fairways on some holes. Plays slow on wed late mornings. Nice layout. Good coarse for the money.
Beware the Water
My wife and I played Plantation as a four ball with another couple over from England with us on vacation. I had last played the course 3 years ago. We booked through Gofl Now and got an early tee time. On arrival we were struck by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. There were no exceptions and this set us up for a good day. Although it had rained heavily overnight and water features on many holes the course was in good condition and the greens were as good as any of the 10 other courses we have played in Florida on this trip. When the wind got up in the latter part of our round the course got considerably harder and errant shots ended up in the various water hazards. This did not detract from our day. The course has a great atmosphere and when we had a meal in the clubhouse afterwards the members we met were as friendly as the staff. I would recommend Plantation to anyone who is on vacation in the area.
Nice course
Course was in good shape pro shop was very helpful would like to receive coupons or special rates thank u
Nice experience
Good solid course. Only one hole was quite wet after two days of some very heavy rains. Not too crowded and great pace the morning I was there.
Plant ion course review
Everything went well the course was in good shape and staff was very helpful thank u
The greens are beautiful, putt true.
You better score on the front 9, because the back nine can be a challenge .
Wet and windy day
We cannot wait to play this course again under ideal conditions. They had a all day rain the prior day and the course had casual water everywhere.,and it was very windy. Still had a good time
Fun course, pretty easy.
Played with my 86 year old Mom. Easy enough course for her to play with usually no one in front or behind us to rush us. Eighth hole most challenging for her. We named it the snake pit hole! Cute little course for the price to play 9 holes. I pay that much on Long Island with a league and I walk!
Typical FL low land course, flat
Flat but wind make change. Very good green. Birds, chirping, aligators sleeping on the course. Fun playing there. Money worthy.
A little wet on some spots after rain.
The plantation Championship Course
Had a great time. The value for the price was great. Played with some local guys..... They made me feel like I was a one of them. The course was fun to play, not difficult but fair. Greens putted true and a little on the fast side. Definitely would return.
Nice course
5 Handicapper. Visiting family in the area. Played the day after a big rain storm, course was wet, but playable. Greens were in excellent condition and putted true. Fairways, considering the water, were nice. Fairly good design for being on mostly flat terrain. I would definitely play again if I return to this area.
Nice Older Course for Enjoyable Afternoon Round
We picked up this course as an alternate in the afternoon and really enjoyed the round. The course is relatively short by modern standards, but this allows for more options off the tee box. The overall course conditions were good; greens rolled true and nice playing turf from the fairway. There are some nice tight openings from the tee box too! Water is in play on several holes. The rough is a hodge podge of grasses. The pro was very helpful and friendly. This is more of a locals course than a tourists course, but if you need one more round before the Florida sun sets give it a try.
Plantation at Crystal River
This is the third time I played this course. I am a 12 handicap. The front 9 is shorter and easier than the back side, The back side is narrow and you have to keep the ball straight to stay out of trouble. The fairways are in good shape, the greens are large and slopping there isn't a flat put out there. AT ALL COST STAY BELOW THE HOLE. Staff are friendly and accommodating, I would recommend this course to anyone it is fun to play, challenging but you have enough good scoring holes to balance the course out,
