Crystal River Golf Club (formely known as Seven Rivers Golf & Country Club) has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1968. The course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of its most scenic. It's not unusual for golfers to be joined by the golf course's abundant wildlife, which includes everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout that is routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and steams weaves throughout the golf course as well. It's a challenging but fair test where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. In addition to the course, Crystal River Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range and a putting green with a sand bunker.

great greens
the coirse was very chalenging'''' lots of water hazards...donated a few balls. not like your regular easy florida course. loved the gator on #3.
cant wait to go again.
Greens were excellent
The course was very wet in spots making play less than pleasant in several places. The overall course appearance was unappealing. The greens, however, were among the best we've played on.
Great day
Have played the course before, but they are making a lot of changes since a new owner took over recently. Would play here again in a heartbeat!
New Owner
I enjoyed the golf, as well as the wildlife. The new owner appears to be making positive changes to the course.
Water , water everywhere
Course was quite wet due to the rain the previous day and the fact that the course has a lot of water on it already. Greens were fast and firm which was a bonus. Staff is very friendly. Starter got us off the back nine due to the back up on the 1st tee. (golfnow over booking times already taken). I almost always call ahead to make sure my tee time is accurate. Didn't and almost paid the price. Thanks to the staff for getting us out . Didn't eat there so only gave avg. for food and beverage. Won't hurry back until things dry up a bit.
my opinion on condition and the staff.
The course is in very good condition for December. The greens are in good condition and pretty fast. We were rained out after 9 holes. The staff was very helpful and gave us a rain check for the other 9. Very satisfied.
well laid out
great value for your money great scenic very good equipment friendly staff clean We will be back
nice older course
a good place to play, although the dormant season probably takes away the beauty of the course.not an overly long course but accuracy is a must so driver is not always needed.
Just OK, basically a place for locals.
Staff is very friendly and is what made our round enjoyable. Layout of the course is good, with a few good holes. Greens seemed to roll pretty good today too. However, the course is just in OK shape, not a lot of color in the fairways or greens, but playable.
Good value
Overall, the course is challenging and very scenic. The greens and tee boxes need attention. A good value
Thinning grass on fairways
Greens are in great shape but Please over seed the fairways.
I enjoyed myself.
Teed off at about 1 PM and (playing through 3 groups) was done at 3:30. Very courtious members and players. I thought it had some very interesting holes. Greens were very nice with few weeds and they were overseeding right behind me as I played. Was still a little wet from the previous week's downpour. I'd rate the overall value really nice. We just need the economy to come back some more up here on the Nature Coast.
Nice course, not a five star, but a nice local golf course.
Using Golf Now, this course is a good value. It has a tendency to hold water after rain for several days if not weeks. The front nine is good, back nine still wet after one week of no rain.
Staff is great, the conditions of the facilities are decent and overall a good local spot for an enjoyable round of golf........ that is if it's dry.
Soggy
Tee boxes not in good shape, several fairways were waterlogged and difficult to walk on, lost two balls that plugged. Greens were shaved but seemed slower than normal. Course recently changed ownership and looks like it's in transition. Plays much better when it is dry. My wife and I play here fairly regularly and find it a really pretty course - and the price is right. just keep the ball down the middle and you will have no problems. Not many options for beer; dogs and burgers are good.
Excellent Greens
Fairways are fairly wide but if you miss them your ball will be in deep rough. Greens were smooth and fairly quick - that's a good thing. There's water on almost every hole, but it's not in play unless you hit a really bad shot. Will go back again and again for the golfnow price.
Good Value
The greens were OK but the fairways have lots of bare spots on many of the holes. On other holes, it was so wet that there was no roll on tee shots. The course sits amid wetlands and the water level of the lakes and swampy areas was very high. The course is flat and some of the holes have severe doglegs which makes it more interesting. If you are looking for a place to play with OK greens at a reasonable price, 7 Rivers would work well for you.
Water everywhere...
The staff at the club were very nice and helpful, as well as the fellow golfers. The clubhouse is somewhat dated but clean. Tee boxes were in need of repair, but the greens were in great shape. There was a lot of marsh like hazards lining a lot of the doglegs that do not show up on the map of the course. Had a great time and would recommend this course again.
a fun course
greens were very good and fast-- we had super price and will be back again-from summerfield,fl.
VERY DRY
The course was too dry to play well. The greens had no bite and the fairways found bald patches due to under watering and the area has had rain for most of the previous weeks. The weeds were controlled well.
Disappointed because the course was in great shape the last time I played here about 6 months ago. I heard a rumor that it has new owners. I can only hope I played in a transition time because the course is quite nice usually.
We paid the golf now price of $10 (+fees) and I wouldn't waste the ten dollars again. :-(
7 Rivers golf course
Course was in "decent" shape & the greens for the most part were fast & true. The only problem I had was the 3some in playing in front of me. Since I was a single, I thought they would ask me to join them or at least wave me thru. They did neither, hence I stopped after 9 holes. Too bad these young guys didn't learn golf course etiquette.
This course is very good when the weather is dry. Please avoid when it has rained as it will be cart paths only and very wet - your ball will plug in fairway and you probably won't be able to find it.
