Crystal River Golf Club (formely known as Seven Rivers Golf & Country Club) has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1968. The course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of its most scenic. It's not unusual for golfers to be joined by the golf course's abundant wildlife, which includes everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout that is routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and steams weaves throughout the golf course as well. It's a challenging but fair test where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. In addition to the course, Crystal River Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range and a putting green with a sand bunker.

straight is a must---lots of water---fast greens
Fairways need some work, but the greens are as good as you get. They roll very nice and true. The rest of the course however needs help , as far as the fairways they need to be cleared of the many oak leafs and the bunkers are in need of some edging but the sand is very consistent. Over all the front nine goes back and forth but the back nine is a much better layout. Don't get me wrong this course is surely worth the visit. I played from the tips with more concern on hitting it straight than long. I will go back and lay again........did I mention the greens were excellent----give it a try
Plesent time
The fairways were good except on a few holes they were nothing but mush and the greens were fast just the way we like them. Overall good course I'd play again just hope those few fairways are better the next time around.
Super bargain
Great greens. Fair course. Only neg was some fairways extremely wet. Did I mention the greens were great. Fast and true.
7 Rivers
The course was very wet from heavy rains. They nearly closed the course and it was cart path only.
The people were very accommodation and we had an excellent round.
Perfect for the senior golfer
greens were fast and sweet . Fairways were green and plush . Lots of water , but for the straight hitter it did not come into play . Great track .
extremely fast greens
Good layout, nicely stocked pro shop. Friendly starter.
A good place to play
Have played this course about 6 times over the past three years. We take advantage of the after 2 pm deals which are a bargain and if you play early in the week it's usually not busy and you can get in 18 holes even in early January. Nice staff, nice course always have a good time. Key to playing this course is keep the ball straight as water plentiful. Greens were fine for January as were fairways. Carts are old but a the price, it's not a concern. Always a nice experience.
Interesting holes
I prefer hilly courses, but 7 Rivers has many very interesting and diverse holes. Would recommend that staff try to put the many, many twosomes together. We play as a foursome and have stopped letting twosomes play through. Otherwise, we would end up with 6 hour rounds every time we go.
greens
Enjoy this course every time we play. Your greens are fantastic. They might be the best in central Florida. Overall just a great experience to play at 7 Rivers. Saw our first gator sunning himself on one of the holes near the tee box.
This course has a nice layout.
Nice course. Every hole has its own unique challenge. You definitely want to hit it straight and avoid the water, trees and rough along the fairways. Good course to walk.
Very Enjoyable!
A nice course for the average golfer...very playable. The course was in good condition...and we had a great time! It's on our list to play the next time we come back to Florida.
A good layout and excellent food
We enjoyed this course, but it needs some more attention to the greens. The staff were very welcoming and the price with Golfnow was a real bargain
7 Rivers was fun and fair
In Crystal Rivers there is a golf course from the 60’s that was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly and the club house had reasonable prices for their products although it could use updating. The practice areas were adequate. I was nervous about the driving range paralleling the entry road and was only about 250 yards long so I stuck to the short woods. I played from the white tees which have a rating of 66.2, a rating of 110 and only 5487 yards long. The course has a nice lay out, water comes into play along some fairways and homes were far off the out of bounds markers. The tree lined fairways are generously wide and tee boxes were maintained. I found the course challenging because of the greens. The greens were in pretty good shape and I saw only small areas around the perimeter that were spotty. I must say they were very difficult to read and fast which made birdies impossible for me. The cart paths are in need of repair but the golf carts are brand new. I will recommend the course as something to try.
course in good shape
I like the course.alot of trouble between woods and water.nornal playing time.i was good have a starter. they ran out of carts had to wait for a cart .
This the place to be
I am fortunate to live very close to 7 Rivers.
It is the best course around for duffers like me. Both the greens and the fairways are well maintained.
If you go into the rough, its rough!
They say to watch out for the alligators but I haven't seen one yet. I must have knocked them out with the 500 balls I hit into the water!
The pro shop is fantastic and affordable. Troy is always ready to help you out.
The carts are always clean and maintained.
Forget the Plantation and play here.
This course tests your game - especially on the fairways. Distance control is necessary. Always willing to return here.
These greens feel as though they run an 11 and have such subtle breaks it is easy to "just miss" the hole. Pace is frustrating with these breaks.
This is an older course that is well maintained.
The staff ,was great,The starter said there was a foursome behind us that played very fast and would we like to let them go first so we would not be pushed,we did and had great round.Greens are fast and in good shape.
Course is a great place to go have some fun.
The course has a great layout with some nice hole designs that make
it challenging. You won't be left with the feeling that you wasted your money going there.
Best coures I played this year
This course has lots of water. You must hit fairways or your ball will go swimming. several holes you need to lay up or hit a good shot. I loved the course and will play it again.
Well maintained.
This course is in nice condition. I gave it a 4 because 2 of the greens were not pristine. They were not real bad, but some dead spots. Over all I had a pleasant day playing there.
