Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Dec 2018.
Crystal River Golf Club (formely known as Seven Rivers Golf & Country Club) has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1968. The course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of its most scenic. It's not unusual for golfers to be joined by the golf course's abundant wildlife, which includes everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout that is routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and steams weaves throughout the golf course as well. It's a challenging but fair test where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. In addition to the course, Crystal River Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range and a putting green with a sand bunker.

Water water everywhere
Nice course as long as you are in the fairway. Lots of water on this course. I would recommend playing here after a dry spell. Drainage is an issue. Greens were good, fun course, great price.
people and course very good
Staff friendly. Course in good shape. Workers showed repect for golfers.
Pretty good course, Fantastic Price
I was really happy with my experience. For the course, the fairways were great. The greens were dry and slow but it's that time of year in Florida The staff was really friendly. My early afternoon tee time was pleasant; I will go again in the future. Oh and the price was ridiculously generous.
As for pace of play: great but I did play solo.
great layout
the clubhouse is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your favorite beverage or food . the staff are very friendly. had a great day. thank you golf now
The course is soggy wet due to much rain.
The greens are in great shape. Get off the fairway and you are in muck. Too wet. Poor drainage.
Excellent greens, wet fairways
As per other reviews, drainage is an issue -- very wet after rain. Otherwise excellent condition, especially smooth, true, fast greens. This was my first time around the tract and used all but one club in my bag. Classic design, no gimmicks, generally forgiving. Note price at course is pretty much the same as GolfNow offers. Will definitely return.
Great greens! Wet fairways and rough make this course play much farther than the posted yardage.
We were very happy with the course. This track has historically had a hard time with flooding. So with all the summer rains we've been having, you better watch your ball (it will probably plug). But with greens like that, I will be back. Matter of fact, this is the 2nd time I played it in a week.
One recommendation I have for the course is to post the "super" wet areas and use signage (I saw none). It could be easily ruined by carts.
Moderate difficulty, Great value.
Good layout, it was very enjoyable. Can be soggy if just after rain.
Poor to average.
Greens very good. They had a lot of recent rain so a number of areas were soft/wet. Fairways need attention.
Tee boxes need attention
The course was extremely wet. There was casual water on almost every hole. Huge portions of the course had not been mowed because of all the water. I would only play this course again after a long dry spell
Needs more attention to fairways, very little grass
The fairways are burned out, no grass and no evidence of anything being done to improve them, greens were okay and interesting to putt.
Had great day.
This course has a lot of guffer holes, what is a guffer hole when they move the cup a donot tamp down around the cup this course get's a 15 for 18 guffer rateing. other then that nice course.
Nice, clean and challenging course.
Course is challenging, greens well keep, fairways wide and well maintained. Staff are freindly.
Great Price... good course
Good times............ fast play, not crowded... get out there !
Can't beat it for the money!
Summer grass is coming in nicely. Greens were recently aerated but it was not an issue, they rolled great. A couple of small patches have been sanded. Lots of water and wildlife, bald eagles, egrets, gators, sand cranes, etc. A good outdoor experience.
course was pretty flat
we felt the course was not in the greatest condition. It is flat. It does have several areas of water and the bird population was nice to see. Tee boxes were not mowed, but greens were ok.
Fairways and roughs were adequately maintained,
Seven Rivers is an old course. It is adequately maintained but there is plenty of room for improvement and make it more " refreshing" visually. The place is a nature's preserve. The counter can use a more friendly person.
seen better days
Was surprised to see seven rivers open to the public. Since moving to the area years ago, I assumed it was a well maintained private facility. It was not. The layout was fine, and it was OK for the money, and we had an enjoyable time, but just don't expect a private course experience, and considering the price, I really knew that anyway. No complaints, just get what you pay for.
Great Local Gem
We play this course regularly. Staff is exceptional, especially the restaraunt. Course is in great shape and has some fantastic views. Great pure Florida course.
pretty good course
I would play this course again. It is in good condition , not pristine.
Play was a little slow.
