Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort

We played the palm course first. Very hilly and the greens were very tough. Lots of up and down. The last nine has lots of water. We finished and then went and played the other course. We enjoyed it a lot more. The fairways were not so hilly and even though the greens were touch they were easier to read. The staff was fantastic. Can’t believe we played 36 holes but sure enjoyed every one of them.

This is one of my favorite courses. It was especially challenging today in 20 to 30 mph winds but it was fun regardless. Fast greens

from the perfect lush green grass to the flamingo's in the ponds its an absolute masterpiece to see and golf.There greenskeeper needs to go into Guinness for keeping that place so immaculate and pristine.I was flabbergasted how perfect the fairways,bunkers and greens were and in the middle of winter....crazy what i are they doing wrong in the bay area?

Course was in outstanding condition. No overseed on the greens so they are not the prettiest in the valley, but they were rolling about 12 on the stimp and putted great. I loved them!! Very friendly staff too! We will be back soon.

Course in good shape but odd the greens are all brown on purpose . Supper fast greens . Course is surrounded red by roads so noisy at times . Course a little cramped with limited space . Overall fair value at &79

Beautiful course! The greens are dormant and lightning fast. I’ll be back. Bring your own water.

The greens looked terrible but played true and at a fast pace.

There is no Marshall out here to push anybody we ended up playing with five and still watched the group ahead us play every shot

A fun course to play, as always. However, the website should indicate that greens have been recently over-sanded which detracted from an otherwise excellent round.

It seemed like it was squeezed inside a bunch of main roads.

This is my second time playing a JW Marriott course. I played the Valley Course around this same time in 2019. The course was in excellent shape. The greens were quick, but not crazy fast, while still being receptive to shots. Fairways were terrific. GPS was accurate. Practice tee and green were adequate, with range balls included in the price. My one complaint was the lack of water on the course. On a 100 degree day, the beverage cart didn't come around until 8 tee, and then not at all on the back. Also, the water fountains on the back were out of order. I was a bit surprised to not get a few complimentary waters in the cooler on the cart, like I did at a lower priced course the week before in Las Vegas. I would definitely play the course again, but I'd be sure to stock up on water beforehand. A minor quibble, however, for what was a really great round on a gorgeous course, especially the waterfall at 2 green and the entire 17th hole. Pace of play was moderate (4 hours for the round), with just a few waits on some shots. Hard to judge the other off course amenities, as I was only there for the golf, and it appeared that some restaurants were closed due to the pandemic.

Played during over seeding process so not a fair test of normal conditions. Liked the layout and the staff was great.
