About

Holes 18
Type Semi-Private
Style Traditional
Par 72
Length 7098 yards
Slope 136
Rating 74.6

The18-hole track at Ballamor Golf Club is renowned for its usage of the naturally hilly course in its layout. Brian Ault, the designer, utilized the natural terrain and thick forestry and also added subtle modern and traditional touches to create a unique golfing experience.

The golf course doesn't feature any "signature" hole, but each hole is different from the others and they employ the use of almost every type of golf shot. As a composition, the 18 holes create a course that is both challenging and fun. The course also has five sets of tee boxes. Another distinguishing characteristic of the course is its "go out and stay out" philosophy and layout. The golfer starts near the Clubhouse but doesn't end until the 18th green. This allows for a faster game and there is also a halfway house for refreshments.

Great layout great conditioning

The best modern Jersey shore course I've played to date. Surprising elevation changes considering how close the course is to the shore. The greens were quick, nicely contoured, and in beautiful condition. Fairways were great, lots of bunkering in strategic places. Most of the rough was not that taxing, but there were some thick spots. My only concern would be pace of play - we were the first group and played in four hours. I can imagine that it slows substantially at busier times due to the course difficulty and the relatively long green to tee distances.

Very enjoyable and great value.

We were able to get a great price on golfnow.com. This course is well-maintained with no houses on the course. Just woods and greenery to enjoy!

First time playing. You definitely can see that this course was built originally as private course as it probably one of the best public courses in nj

Great course, excellent condition and one if the best public courses that I have played in New Jersey . Fairways like carpets and greens lightning fast but true. Course was so good and not that crowded that we played 36!!

TOUGH!

This course is beautiful, but not for the weak hearted or short hitter. The par 4's are beasts and the greens are fast and tough to read. This is a big boys' gof course!
