Nice Muni Track
The north course at Daytona is the more interesting of the two courses as it winds through wooded areas. Water is in play on most holes but the fairways are as generous as the greens are small. Walking is permitted and the pace of play is terrific. We played in 3:20 on a Saturday afternoon. There is also a nice practice area and driving range.
weel maintained course with challenging features
I really enjoyed the course. Par 3's were very challenging when a bit windy. Nice layout and par 5's are somewhat foregiving.
Pretty decent shape for winter conditions
My partner and I were paired up with a very nice gentleman from Ohio. The course conditions were pretty decent for winter conditions, however the greens were a bit spotty. The pace of play was good and we completed the round in under four hours. This was surprising considering the volume of players on the course. Overall it was a plesant and enjoyable round.
Muni in winter. Not recommended.
Might give it another play in peak season. Was not impressed. Too many fairway tight lies.
Our foursome played in 3 hours on the North Course.
The course was challenging enough, and the greens were fast. It had rained in the morning and the greens hadn't been cut, but they still were quick. We'll come back. Pay attention to the course map on a couple holes. The distance to water off the tee is critical.
This course is good value for the money.
Course was OK for the money, good value .Greens were better on the back 9. Bunkers needed work. Good speed.Staff in the pro shop not very friendly but professional.
Nice layout.
The pro shop was fully stocked. Range balls were Okay, Tee boxes were okay. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were fast and a little hard. Sand traps need some attention. Practice green, chipping area very nice.
Rest room and some areas around buildings need taken care of, getting a little run down.
Over all it was a good value for my money. I would play it again.
Rates were reasonable but not enough time between tee times.
Waited approximately 5 to 10 minutes at every tee to tee off. Design features of course were more than adequate with green conditions about a 6 on a scale of 10. Probably would not play again because pace of play.
Each hole presents challenges that the average golfer can master
I loved this course. There was absolutely nothing negative about my experience. I will play it again.
Visited North course. good condition. fast greens.
My husband and I were met by an exuberant employeee at the bag drop area. We golfed with a couple from our neighbouring border city. Beautiful birds and turtles seen basking in the sun.
The course was straight forward. Need to look ahead for EOF water hazards, change clubs. Some bunkers had great sand. We rate it 7+ out of 10.
Beautiful layout with pleasing water views
water comes into play on 9 of 18 holes, requires somethought to club selection. Fairways & greens are in pristeen condition.
Enjoyable course.
This course was in good shape. Greens were well maintained. For a public course I was very surprised in the shape it was in and how good it was being taken care of. Staff was great in all areas. This course even had marshalls and starters. That is sometimes hard to find in public courses. I really beleive the staff care about there customers and the course conditions. Thank you Daytona Beach Golf Club.
An enjoyable course in the Daytona area.
This is my favorite course in the Daytona area based on the enjoyment of the course for the dollar spent. The course is always in good condition. The greens are well manicured and the fairways are watered and green. There is an acceptable practice area for irons, woods, and putting. There is also a good pratice area for chipping and bunker practice. The club has two 18's to select from. The north course is my favorite of the two.
Great place to play for the money. Fun course and well maintained for a muni. Greens were in great shape!
Old golf course, very fun, good variety of holes and well maintained for a municipal course. The staff is friendly - great no frills golf course. Gets lots of play and is a great value for the money.
well maintained not too difficult
We were very well pleased with the course and the price. I would recommend that they group people together-- we were a twosome with a single ahead of us,, a twosome ahead of him, and a single behind us. a comment was made that the play was slow which we did not find exactly true, but pairing people would help that. The group in fromt of the single did let him play through and later let us playthrough. We are fairly quick players and they appeared to have one beginner.
The North Course is the best.
A real challenge for all skill levels. The $5 Turn Dog Special is great!
nice course needs mataince
each time I play this course I have run into nice people that I was paired with and thats always a plesant day.
Nice course for average golfer
Golf course in great shape and well maintained. Course plays well for all types of golfers.
My favorite course in the Daytona area.
This course is first class. It combines a challenging course with outstanding beauty. There are birds everywhere and you see Bald Eagles and their nest on the 17th fairway. The palm tree lined holes create a wonderful sense of Florida golf at its best.
Like most top course, this course rewards good shots and makes you pay for poor play.
I recommend the course for golfers with a wide range of handicaps. It is important to play from the tees designed for your handicap.
I consider this a great buy. I expect you will join me in declaring it your favorite course in the area.
Great course
Playing golf in the middle of winter was a blast! We are from Richmond and don't get much play time between November and April. Greens were awesome, fairways and tee boxes in great shape. Couple of long, few challenging holes. Enjoyed ourselves very much.
