The Club at Pelican Bay - North Course

Horrible. All greens were dead and actually cracked. Hard to find any grass in fairways. Thank goodness I had a great deal thru Golf Now.

I played the back 9 and found the course to be interesting. It was really dry, the greens had sizable dead and bare spots, mostly around the edges and didn't really affect my game. Conditions made both greens and fairways pretty fast, drives and fairway hits went a long way after hitting the ground. Chips onto the green were more likely to go farther than intended, as likely going off the other side as not. That might say more about my ability than course conditions though. I'm looking forward to trying the other 9 before making a final opinion.

This place just got bought out and the previous owners let it go for a long time. They said they had sprinkler issues that didn’t allow them to water the course as needed. The greens were dirt. The course was mostly dirt. So were the tee boxes. To charge what they did should be criminal. Maybe wait a year or so and check back to see if they cleaned it up. Not worth any money to play.

The greens are really browns. The tee boxes are a joke. This course is the worse course I have ever played. It is criminal that they charged us what they charged.

Allegedly sprinkler system broke 2 weeks before playing. All greens were dried dirt (looked like a dry lake bed). It was not enjoyable and the course is the worst I’ve ever played. Course had no water on it and no water at clubhouse. Shame because it used to be nice. Horrible now. Not even worth playing for free.

I really love this course and the staff is wonderful. There are new owners who are trying hard to restore the damage and neglect of the previous owners as evidenced by several structural improvements to their bridges and in course rest room facility. Sadly, they suffered a recent setback when their in-ground watering system failed and the lack of rain has left the fairways and greens scorched and nearly unplayable. The greens have suffered the most are in desperate need of a complete redo. They are virtually impossible to read or play with even a modicum of confidence. The great pricing they offer will not be incentive enough for me to return until watering and other measures can restore the course to a much higher level of playability.

As I said, I really do love the layout and the staff and appreciate the efforts being undertaken to improve all conditions and amenities. This course can be one of the very best in a hundred mile radius when restored and I will definitely return once there has been significant change. Until then, I can’t justify the 45 minute ride it takes to play there.

I have played all winter and everything was improving nicely-then drought and pump failure hit and complete course his very very dry to the point that the greens r rippled like dry clay

The worst course I have ever played. The conditions were unbelivably dab. The greens were mostly dried ground and the fairways were dried grass.

Absolutly the worst golf couse I ever played at! If there is a gardener or lanscaper he/she should be fired and the CC should sue for any wages they paid. Nothing was green any where.

GolfNow should remove this course from thier list. It's not worth paying even $1 to play here.

The ONLY good thing about this course is that there was almost no one else playing the course, finished the round in 3hrs and 20min.

Nice layout. Years ago this was such a great course.

Unfortunately between the hurricane last spring and now the drought, the greens are lost. Hopefully with the wet season approaching they can reclaim it. Very nice staff though.

Worst course conditions I’ve ever seen. Greens looked like you were playing on asphalt. Waste of my money

I’ve played this course over 30 years. They need to shut it down and do a complete overhaul! The picture that is attached to this review is a picture of one of the better green. It is an embarrassment to GolfNow to be a part of your course selection.

Course is in very rough condition. Most of the tee boxes were bare sand and the greens are mostly brown and rock hard.

Staff was super friendly but couldn’t give them any more than a 1 star as not to increase the star rating average. Greens are unputtable! Tee box are sandy patches. Nice layout but they’ve completely given up!

The course lay out could be fun but the condition of the course was in bad shape.

Greens had no grass. Tee Box needs attention.

It needs care and repair.

The staff however was excellent.

Until repaired I would not recommend it.
