About
The 18-hole Glen Abbey Golf Club in Debary, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dominic Palombo, Glen Abbey Golf Club measures 6661 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 137 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass and the fairways are winter rye.
The Glen Abbey course winds through gently rolling landscapes of sylvan splendor and a 60-acre body of water known as “No-Name” Lake. There are no parallel fairways and all fairways are tree-lined. Water comes into play on eight holes. There are 80 strategically placed bunkers. Crepe myrtle, elderberry and oleander plantings are an aesthetic addition to existing magnolia, oak and towering pines which frame most fairways.

Value
The women in the shop and bar are as friendly as you can get. Course not great but for 10 bucks I'll play there again.

Under water
While the greens were in the best shape I have seen them in the driving range was an abomination. The edges of the Fairway were more like the rough and the rough was so rough that you needed a weedeater to find your ball. Half of the holes we're under water around the edges and you had to track through mud to get to the Tee Box. For the price it wasn't bad but I would rather pay a little more and play somewhere that takes care of the property better. We went in to get a hot dog at the turn and it was Serve Yourself and the tongs for the hot dogs were sitting in some nasty water. Beer was cold though.

Needs some TLC
Course is really burned up as you might expect for this time of year. If you could keep the golf carts from riding all over the place and leaving ruts in wet spots,
That would help !! Nice layout but needs some work. It was worth the fee
And I played in just over three hours.
Great course. We weren’t rushed, and didn’t have to wait for other groups to play.
Old course
Played for the first time. Staff was very friendly and kind. Played as a single and very fast play. Conditions were rough, but paid $10 for 18 with a cart , so I won’t complain ..just state truth, and layout had it challenges to any skill level. Had a fun day with wife , even played two rounds of pool in bar at turn then completed round. Been in Florida a month and would play again. Not so much for course conditions as for the friendly staff and very quick and not busy course.

Great place to play
The staff was as good as it gets. The course is self was in very good condition. And the layout was somewhat tricky. We live 85 miles away I might go again someday. Mostly because the staff were so nice.
Glen Abbey, aka "The Swallows"
I played this course a long time ago before the houses were built alongside it. With the exception of a couple holes (#15 comes to mind), the greens were in excellent shape. The fairway grass was thin, as is to be expected at winter's end, so the lies were pretty tight.
I had to skip a hole to get around a very slow foursome, so I only got in 17 holes before darkness. Other than that one encounter, the pace of play was very good.
Only allowed 11 holes as shotgun league took over course
Was told to play front nine by 9am to avoid league. Ran around in under 1 hour to ensure back nine play.
However, league started on back and inserted themselves ahead of 18 hole players.

Price is right
Played at 715a on a Sunday fir $20 in 3 hours; cant beat that. Conditions are a little rough but greens look to be heading in the right direction. Would plays again in the same circumstances
Nice course
Recent rain has 'greened' up the course. Fairways and greens in good shape. A couple challenging holes. Played at 4pm and got in 17 holes with a partner by 6:15. Very reasonable rates. Enjoy golfing here.
Nice AM @ Glen Abbey
Had a 7:28 tee time @ Glen Abbey ....
We arrived right on the dot as GPS from GolfNow misguided us. Pro shop personnel was understanding and pleasant. Brand new carts-nice!... We thouroghly enjoyed our time. Glen Abbey has a lot of doglegs and we had some trouble with lines off the tee etc. Af few greens were struggling but overall decent shape considering it’s off season. Bunkers were nice and we sped around in under 4hrs as a threesome . We will be back next time we vacation here . Thanks for a great day !
Great easy
This place is a great place and easy to get to by far the best bang for the buck ! Greens and fairways are coming back from being dormant another couple weeks back to normal . Bunkers are soft which is what they are suppose to be . The amenities are priced perfect .Go back here quite often after playing other more overpriced local courses .guess our group isn't upity enough. Lol
Good Value
Glen Abbey is a very nice course that is a great value for the money. The course is not as plush as some courses, but it has plenty of grass and you can find decent lies anywhere. The greens are fast and put true. I would recommend this course to anyone and especially for those who are looking for more for their buck.
Fair to Bad
Played here a month ago and decided to give it another chance. There was improvement around the greens with grass filling in the bare spots. The greens were brown and some sort of weeds popping all over. If you hit one on your putt you didn't know where the ball would be going. The t boxes were ok. A course for beginners and families. For the $29 i payed it wasn't worth it. They spent more money doubling the size of the bar than taking care of the course. I feel bad for all of the staff because they are extremely nice. I would have rather paid an extra $10 and played another course. You can get a golf now deal and play it for $16 which is what it's worth. Alot of potential out there.

Fair condition
Greens are brown with small growths. Fairways are ok, some ruts due to cart tracks in soft ground. Some challenging holes. Pace of play average. Friendly staff.
