Royce Brook Golf Club - East Golf Course

This course used to be pristine. The greens and fairways were in good shape although the greens were hard and the ball did not hold at all. The tee boxes and rough, particularly around the greens, were majorly disappointing considering what this course used to be. Seems like they are just upkeeping the greens/fairways and that’s it.

Generally like the course and the greens were true. Wish the bunkers had sand in them not sure why they don’t.

Its sad that was once a nice semi-private course with full amenities has turned into something resembling a muni dirt course. How they can still charge upwards of $85 for a round should be illegal. Cart paths with huge potholes. Fescue not cut. Greens not watered. Tee boxes hard as a rock. Garbage overflowing. No water coolers. I feel bad that is still a member there. Hoping the private side is worth it, because the east course sure isnt.

My son’s and I had great experience at Royce Brook. We’ll definitely play again!

Good course. Good layout. Some tee boxes under repair. Course needs some attention. Sand traps are all dirt now.

Unfortunately they have let the course go down…..tee boxes unfit…although they are doing some cheap fix by cutting patches of fairway into rectangles to repair instead just using sod so now a chunk of every fairway is missing….bunkers are unplayable…just flat out mud and hardpan….pace of play was good for half a round then slowed to turtle pace

Range was completely bare within in the hitting area while weedy and spotted grass covering the rest of the teeing area. If it is not going to be maintained they need to add mats. This was the longest round I've ever played. At one point we had a foursome on a par 3 green with the group of 3 in front of us and ourselves (2) waiting on the tee box. While waiting to tee off on the third hole we had to wait 10 mins for the tee box sprinklers to be turned off, all the while moving around the area in order to not get wet. Our cart died multiple times. Pro tip- mess with the "tow option" switch if this ever happens to you.

tee boxes were in terrible shape. there are no bunkers. they are either water hazards or just bare dirt spots on the course (no sand).

Bar restaurant was great. Servers and food was great. Only reason to go to this place.

Played here many years ago and thought the course was so much better.. the bunkers are in disrepair and appears to be totally neglected. The pop stand is a triple bogey at best.. bathroom was also a triple bogey. As for the 2 practice greens.. “no chipping” signs everywhere!..

What more needs to be said! I drove an hour to play this obstacle course..
