Royce Brook Golf Club - East Golf Course

Sand traps were horrible! Like hitting off hard pan. Fairways were ok for most part. Greens were very bumpy and no one fixes their ball marks.

Challenging course due to the # of deep bunkers in the fairways and around the greens. The bunkers were unkept which was annoying. Price on GolfNow was great and I'd recommend anyone to play this course.

I was yelled at and made to look extremely stupid cause I rode on the fairway on a par 3. No starter to tell me cart path only today. Course also looked terrible

Good greens: otherwise zero stars.

Very poor conditions. Not worth the price.

Course is ill maintained, with rock hard bunkers filled with water (it last rained 5 days earlier).

Tee boxes and some greens missing large patches of grass.

Was 65 dolloars to walk and round took 5 hrs on a Monday at noon.

no rangers present and next holes not clearly marked at times

Pace of play was horrendous.. 6 hours and 30 minute round (!!!). No starter on the first tee, which is far from the clubhouse, so groups just driving out on their own, we were on time but the group behind us took our tee time since they got out there early. Then at the turn the group in front of us is on the tee, and somehow another TWO groups found their way between us, forcing us to wait again.

Course was in good condition given the dry summer, much better than other courses in the state. All greens well kept, some burned out fairways and teeboxes but majority was good.

Was it worth $100 for the pace of play and poor management? Probably not, go to Quail Brook or Spooky Brook.
