Royce Brook Mediocre
The bunkers on this course were a mess. Most have grass and weeds growing in them. Some had standing water. There were also rocks and very little sand. The greens were very slow. Given the $100+ price point it should have been better.
Bunkers are very bad!
The bunkers are awful. They’re not putting sands anymore as the course will be develop my Tolls Brothers soon.
Good but not great
The course was a lot of fun and it was enjoyable, but it’s very obvious that certain things are not being taken care of. The sand traps were hard and packed down, cart path was pretty beat up, the driving range was really torn up, and some other things that weren’t necessarily bad, but just showed that they have not been keeping the course as well as they could.
Great Course with Private Club Feel
Not sure if it’s the day in particular, but this course was wide open. I hosted three business clients and it felt as if we were on a private course with no pressure from anyone behind us.
The layout is outstanding. Almost a mix between Parkland and Links. Pretty tough track with no easy lie. Stay out of the sand traps! They are brutal!
Definitely will be returning especially for business rounds.
Great Course.
Got the 5:50 am tee time. Staff was friendly. finished in 3 hours. Complimentary club cleaning after.
Nice course, bunkers need work
I played a round with a friend today it had a good time. The course layout is nice with the two things missing are signs directing to the next tee box on a few holes, and poor quality “bunkers”. Its more like dirt so impossible to hit out of and for $109 per golfer, would expect some version of a sand bunker.
Other than that I’d still recommend a visit and some food at the restaurant post round.
Overall the course was in fairly good condition. However, very little maintenance and attention has been put into the bunkers which is disappointing.
