Royce Brook Golf Club - East Golf Course

Course was in so so shape, comparison to Tamarack

The course has a great layout, greens were fast and true but conditions weren’t conducive to the amount charged.

I have played this course many times over the years. The East course is usually in decent to good shape with fast greens. When I played on Saturday, August 1, 2020, it was perhaps In as poor of a shape as I have ever seen this golf course. Worse than the worst county course you can imagine. The tea boxes were all chewed up and brown, the fairways were patchy and the greens we’re all scuffed and bitten up by balls without repair. also, it took over five hours to play the round. Not one ranger on the course the entire day moving things along. So sad for the money they charge. I guarantee the West course looks nothing like the east in terms of conditioning. stay far far away from this course until they can get their act together and treat the East course with some respect and not just let it be a second thought.

Course is in great shape. I’ll be booking another tee time soon.

Slow pace was an understatement Tee boxes we rough, greens and fairways were good. Bunkers needed help

Fairways were dried out as were some of the tee boxes. The bunkers were rock hard, some were unplayable.

Close to home but the course could use some work, bunkers are terrible and no gps on carts like advertised. Not worth the price

Completely burned out. Too bad, it used to be a great course last year.

Was real excited to play this course but left very disappointed. The tee boxes were dried out and had divots all over them. The greens were full of ball marks. The bunkers were full of rocks and had weeds growing on the sides. The bunker in the back of 13 was grown in and full of weeds. The cart girls were very friendly and stocked of beverages.

Tee boxes where in rough shape. Traps where a mess . No sand in them. And we played a five hour round with an early time.so for the cost I would not go back.

I’ve played this coursed every years in the past 15 years and this is the worst condition it’s ever been in. Traps poor condition with some doesn’t drain and have moss in them. Some greens are beaten up and also have miss in some dimples. Cart paths are in poor condition.

Great layout, great staff, great food, let down by a course in tough shape. Lots of dead areas on tees, fairways and greens. Lots of ball marks on greens and unfilled divots in fairways. Bunkers badly in need of more sand and maintenance. I’ve played this course when it’s in great shape and today it wasn’t.

I think the grass especially tee boxes have developed Corona or some sort of Fungus! Hopefully doesn’t ruined this nice layout!
